Owner description: We're excited that 2016 marks our 12th year guiding adventurous travelers onto Exit Glacier and into other amazing locales around Seward. Our company created guided glacier trips in Seward, and we've spent a decade honing our focus on safety and creating amazing client experiences. Our biggest asset is our amazing staff. We are a seasonal business that has been fortunate enough to have our experienced staff come back year after year, which is very rare for our industry. Hope to see you in Seward!

This was the very last tour we did before boarding our 10-hour flight home - and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Trevor and Keith were great guides. We took the day-long hike to Exit Glacier, in the rain but the guides were knowledgeable and kept the group engaged in the tour despite the rain.

Thank BrooklynSarah

This was an amazing experience. This is a somewhat easy way to get onto a glacier and see what it is really like. The hike itself is not very strenuous and we even had a couple over 50 in our group.

The guide was awesome and had a very good knowledge of the area. He got us around safely.

Our guide did let us leave the tour and go up to the Harding Ice Field instead of going down with the group. That makes it a very long day but worth the effort to get to the top. I would ask if this is a possibility.

I highly recommend this tour.

Kids loved the helicopter ride up to the glacier as much as the glacier hike. Glacier is a bit muddy looking ice at the foot of the glacier though it is still a neat experience. We did the easy hike from the Helicopter Ice Hiking tour. Minimum age was 8, and our 10 year old had no problems except cold hands. There was an element of danger being around deep holes in the ice with kids, but it was pretty safe if you keep close to your kids. This hike was mostly on flat ice. Group was pretty large (5 in our group plus a few others). The guide was great.

Check in guy was saying bears were no threat with the time of year and salmon runs drawing them other places. I don't believe they had bear repellent (concern of mine since the recent bear attacks in Alaska). The guide mentioned seeing some bear scat recently though he was not concerned where we were. Probably not an issue, but still something to decide for yourself. We saw a mountain goat while there.

Bring small camera and good gloves, as it is hard to carry/use a big camera with all the gear on (poles, helmet, crampons).

This is one of the most amazing trips offered in Seward. If you are here for one day, this is something I would HIGHLY recommend you doing. The hike to the glacier is a bit intense, but the views are breath taking! It was totally worth it once we hit the glacier. Taking our first step on the glacier with our spiky shoes was scary at first, but the guides gave us a tutorial on how to use the crampons properly and before you know it, the group was heading up the glacier with confidence. We hiked all over the glacier, explored the crevasse and even got to look deep into an ice cave, one-by-one as our guide braced us. It was definitely one of the most exciting trips offered in Seward. Thumbs up!!!

Not only was ice climbing with Exit Glacier Guides our favorite experience during our entire Alaskan adventure, it is one of our all-time favorite life memories. Our guides, Julien and Ernand, were fantastic. Their instruction and patience were fantastic, and helped us push ourselves to new limits. The exhilarating feeling of rapelling into a crevasse and climbing out is a memory you will never forget!
