“Nice way to see wildlife”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 August 2013

We did a trip with Sunny Cove kayaking, and Tanya and her boat took us to the glacier to start the kayaking. Turns out the trip to and from the kayaking was almost as fun as the kayaking itself. They were very good about showing us wildlife along the way, including close encounters with whales. Highly recommended company.

“Saltwater Lodge is the way to go!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 August 2013

We are so glad we booked with Saltwater Lodge. With only 11 people on our boat we had a great, relaxed time with Captain Tanya and Clay. Clay and Tanya are very knowledgeable and have a real knack for keeping things interesting and entertaining. They took time to talk to everyone throughout the day, learn what people were most interested in seeing and then really made an effort for everyone to get as much quality viewing and photo time as necessary. Try doing that on boat with 100 people!
We saw humpback, otters, stellar sea lions, puffins, porpoise, eagles, oh, and large calving glaciers. The entire trip was beautiful. Highly recommended.

“Wonderful bay & Glacier cruise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013

We had a great day on the water with Captain Tanya and Clay. They are personable and fun guides. We saw a whale, porpoises, bald eagles, puffins, and other sea birds, harbor seals, Steller sea lions, and the majestic Holgate glacier! Clay even scooped up some glacial ice for the ice chest. We marveled at the rock formations and spires the accessorize the rugged coastline. And the colors! Take this tour!

“A Great Day!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

After dropping off some kayakers who were camping, there were just 8 of us left on the boat, the 4 in our group and another group of 4. It was well worth the extra expense to get such personalized service. Leif and Nick did a great job making sure we saw as much wildlife as possible including encouraging the porpoises to play with the boat. Yes, it was a long day but what better way to spend it than soaking in the beauty of the Alaska coast.
