We went to the Breeze Inn because we slept in and missed the breakfast included at our hotel, and we're glad we did. What a great place! Attentive and friendly service and great breakfast food! Restaurants in Alaska can be hit or miss - and since this is our third trip, so we're not novices. This is a great breakfast place. Good selection with a wide variety of choices. We settled for some of the skillet breakfasts which were the right size and delicious. Eggs and reindeer sausage was an great choice, not too large a plate and cooked just right so the eggs aren't dry and the sausages are still tender and moist. There is a selection of hash browns or potatoes and choice of breads. The coffee is strong and black.

Good value for the buck in Seward. Food is very good and service was excellent. It's right on the main street within walking distance of the hotel and docks.

Had the fish and chips. OK, nothing special. The waitress seemed disconnected and not that interested in us. Maybe she was having a bad day. We chose this place based on recommendation by taxi driver, Mad Jack. Not so sure that was good advice, but I believe other restaurants in the area may have been a bit pricier. I would choose a different place next time, if I ever get back to Seward.

We discovered that much of Seward was closed for the off season. The Breeze Inn was open, and we stopped in for a Sunday lunch. The bar wasn't very busy, but the bartender sure seemed weeded and overwhelmed. Service was slow, but adequate...more or less. I ordered a cup of clam chowder-but never received it. The fish and chips were excellent- nice large pieces and perfectly golden brown. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her burger as well. Maybe a little better training for the staff would help.

On a rainy day in early September, with a half full restaurant, we waited 5 minutes to be seated; another 10 minutes for coffee. When they delivered the wrong order 45 minutes into this visit, we just left. We just ordered eggs & sausage! There was adequate staff but nobody seems to care or notice. There are lots better places to eat in Seward. Don't waste your time with this one!
