“Seward”
Reviewed 6 August 2012

If you enjoy hanging around with locals and getting to know them that's the place to go. Great music, and for those who enjoy Alaskan beer, a good place to enjoy a cold beer. Monday and Tuesday usually Karaoke, which is a lot of fun! Surely my favorite bar when I return

“Country Bar Fun”
Reviewed 2 August 2012

I was fortunate enoughg to see Hillbilly Bob here. It was a good show, and a fun, funky bar. They also have pool tables.

“Typical Seward bar”
Reviewed 9 July 2012

About what you would expect in a bar in Seward Alaska. Not much in the way of fine granite or other decor. Just cheap wood and strong drinks. Nice beer selection if that is your thing.

“Hobo Jim is full of . . . . Alaskan life”
Reviewed 9 July 2012

We (aging boomers who love all sorts of music) popped in on a Sunday night to find Alaskan (and, apparently, European) legend Hobo Jim banging on his guitar, jumping on tables, inhaling "duck farts," and generally rousing the house, which seemed to be about evenly divided between locals and tourists. If you enjoy rowdy crowded bars, drinking for its own sake, grossly tasteless jokes and toasts (as I sometimes do but my wife never does), this is yer kinda joint. On the other hand, Jim is a true singer-songwriter grounded in his own culture, superficially crude but every bit as perceptive and moving as East Coast folkies like Bok-Tricket-Muir. I just wish that I could have heard him better over the din.
