“Looooove this place!”
Reviewed 19 July 2014 via mobile

First off, you can't go wrong visiting Seward Alaska. It's my favorite city on earth! Yukon bar gives you a vintage, laid back feel with friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks. The blue grass band, Blackwater Railroad, was perfect for the atmosphere and one of the best bluegrass bands I ever seen live! The locals were so friendly-we immediately felt like family! Can't wait to go back!

“Dive in”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

Had a very spicy bloody mary in this "divey" looking bar. Juke box playing, a few obvious drunks in mid afternoon, folks weaving about a pool table. It does feel like you have joined "the locals" for a drink! Very casual, very friendly.

“Fourth of July with Jim at the Yukon!”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

Normally, when we go to this part of Seward on the other 364 days of the year, it's like a forest of drunks. They're all out on the sidewalk, trying to smoke, and figure out the next bar to go raise cain in. But since Hobo Jim was here for two hours, thought we'd give it a try. Cash only, decent selection of beer, and wall to wall people. If you're down here on the Fourth, stop in and say hi to Jim, have a drink, and dance!
Or head to the side door of the bar, look in, and yell "hey Jim!"

“Old time Alaska bar”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

It's a fun place where the locals and tourist go. There are some real Alaskan characters in there. The bar tender pours a very good Jack and Coke.

“Cool local place”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Stopped in for a drink and they had a good beer selection, cool atmosphere, and interesting people. Only downfall is that it is a smoking bar...
