The best of everything here! The location is a little north of Seward with a beautiful view of a mountain out of the vaulted living room windows. There is a big deck; an extensively stocked kitchen that guests sometimes use to cook; wonderful beds; and it is extremely clean. It has all the comforts of home. The hosts are super attentive to every need including suggestions of things to see and do around Seward. I give it a 10+ and can't wait to go back!

We stayed at Glacier Creek Lodging for one night during our short stay in Seward. Jan was an excellent hostess – she was quick to respond to booking, answered all of our questions, and was so welcoming and helpful in getting us settled in! The B&B itself was cozy, clean and even has self-serve breakfast (fruit, yogurt, toast, eggs, etc.) included with your stay – absolutely perfect before exploring Exit Glacier in the morning! As mentioned by other reviewers, if you don’t have a car, it may be harder to get there since it’s a 10-15 minute drive from downtown, but it's totally worth it!

Booked two rooms for four friends and had one great evening in Seward. The location is very accessible to Seward; we spent the day on a harbor cruise and then popped over to the lodge before heading back in town for dinner.

We sat on the porch and watched night fall and the stars come out. Great, open living room / kitchen space. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our time there. The house is impeccably clean. Everything including the public area is in order. The living room and kitchen are comfortable and cozy. Looking out of the window at mountains and trees while having breakfast each morning was the most cherished moment. Our hostess is very considerate. She leaves binoculars and bells for guests to borrow. Breakfast is self served but she got everything, more than you could eat, bread, cereal, oatmeal, boiled and raw eggs, milk, yogurt, pancake mix, fruits, cookies and more.

The only downside is probably location. You need a rental car. It's 10-15 minute drive from downtown.

My husband and I stayed two nights in room 3, which has a wonderfully comfortable bed and welcoming decor. The house is immaculate and surrounded by majestic mountain views. Seward is a short, easy drive, as is Exit Glacier. Our hostess graciously shared suggestions for activities in Seward, Girdwood, Anchorage and Whittier. We've been delighted with each suggestion we followed while in the Seward area and are looking forward to pursuing her suggestions for other areas.

Glacier Creek Lodging is a definite gem and a great value. If we make it back to Seward, this will be our first choice.

We stayed at Glacier Creek Lodging for a couple nights in August, rented 2 rooms for our family. The b&b is beyond beautiful and everything looks newly renovated. Our favorite is the common area. Breakfast variety was good, we had lots of selection. The best part of staying here was getting the advice from Jan to go to Whittier when we found out that our glacier cruise was canceled 2 days in a row due to bad weather. We quickly changed our itinerary and was finally able to get on a different cruise from Whittier. I brought my parents from out of the country, so that little change of plan really makes a huge difference on the Alaska experience. Highly recommended place to stay. Very enjoyable.

As part of a three week trip around Southcentral AK this July, we stayed at the B&B for three nights. It's a lovely place - the rooms are clean and comfortable (I had some of the best nights sleep here of the entire trip), there's a great common area/kitchen/dining area with excellent views of Mt. Resurrection and there is a really good selection of things for breakfast, plus the B&B (although a short distance out from the centre of city) is still very convenient for doing things around Seward. Jan is really pleasant, and recommended places to eat or see (including and eagle nest just off of the road into Seward), and we even had a campfire one evening.
