“LOVED these cabins! and our midnight visitor too...”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

This was our 3rd night in Alaska, we had been going non-stop! We checked in after watching the Mountain Marathon and enjoying the festivities. The Cabin was cozy and very clean. There was a fridge and microwave. The bed was SO Comfortable! I think we nearly crashed right away! We did have a late night visitor (huge dog) that guarded our cabin, he slept right on the porch! Would have loved to have stayed longer!

We headed to Exit Glacier the following morning, very quick 10 minute drive maybe.

We stayed for 3 nights in a couples cabin. The bed/mattress was wonderful, loved all the hot water for showers, the privacy & quiet was just what was needed this weekend. Loved the "howl le luja" chorus at night! Thanks!

We had the good fortune to stay in Cabin Number 6, Abode Well Cabins June 18-21, 2014. The cabin was very clean, extremely comfortable, and oh so quiet!!!! The setting for the cabins is absolutely beautiful with many huge trees and lots of plants. The first morning we awoke, we had two very small issues (coffee pot and hot water heater not working). The coffee pot was replaced immediately, and the hot water heater was repair just as quickly. Ann, the caretaker/cleaner was very helpful and kind. She gave us great recommendations and had created a book of information about the area. This was my favorite place we visited during our 2 week trip to Alaska. I was sad to leave and would return in a heartbeat.

Wonderful weekend in June 2014 at the Family Cabin. Great stocked kitchen with pots and pans! Clean and beds were very comfortable. Cozy living room downstairs w/bath. Two nice size bedrooms upstairs. Wooden shutters in bedrooms were GREAT for midnight sun!
Ann was so very helpful! I ask her about some flowers and soon she had a book telling about all the Alaska Wildflowers. I ask to borrow 1 tsp of baking soda for a recipe. She did not have any at the time, but the next morning a sack hanging on my door with the baking soda! Perfect for morning baking!
Bonfire pit is very enjoyable.
Hope to return!!!

Room Tip: Family cabin is only two bedroom cabin. All others were 1 bedroom.

The staff were delightful to work with. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to cook, including great pots, knives, serving dishes, utensils, cooking spices and It even had a crockpot so we cd prepare our meal in the morning, go enjoy our adventures, then come home in the evening to our meal. The family cabin had a nice living area situated on the first floor with cozy sleeping arrangements on the second floor. It was warm and atmospheric. Surrounded by evergreens . The Seavey family and dog sled tours were also in the same location and were amazing!!! The location was right outside of Seward . And on the way to the Exit Glacier hike:) We wish we could stay longer!!!

This was our third stay here. One of the best deals in Seward. Always clean. We bring our own food and cook out on the grill. No TV but they do have wireless. The family cabin is great. It was booked this time so we got two of the regular cabins still cheaper than hotels in town.

First off its a bit off the beaten path but not too hard to find. When you get settled there is a bbq and fire pit to go lounge with other guests and meet people. We met some local folks as well as some from Australia and Las vegas. Ann the grounds keeper is a wonderful person to get to know and was very happy to help us out with whatever we needed. She even put together a notebook full of things to do and see while in Seward and left it on the counter in the main cabin.big shout out to Ann for everything and this is definitely a must on the list of places to stay in Seward! Ohh and the beds are amazingly comfy and the cabins are great as well!

Thanks guys! You will see us again!
