“What a Surprise!”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

When visiting Seward, you quickly get used to hearing the sea birds and the smell of the saltwater. However, this wonderful treasure is nestled in calming woods not far from the harbor. OUR STAY WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY (for the record, though, this B&B is one of the most affordable stays in Seward). The pictures on the website are not misleading, I promise! The rooms are very modern and decorated in a way that makes you feel at home very quickly. They even allow children to stay! We live in Anchorage and plan to be back as soon as our schedule allows it. Thank so much, Steller!

Booked with Stellar for our stay in the Seward area because rates were good. Very clean facility, nice location, friendly and helpful folks. The breakfast is basic, continental, and supplied in the room. If that isn't enough, there is a grocery store on nearby, you can purchase what you need.
Just one thing bugged me about this place - even more than the mosquitos! That was the absence of paper towels or something to dry your hands in the washroom! It's budget lodging, so I didn't expect luxury, but just remember to take your hand towel along when you stumble to the shared bathroom in the early morning.

I was delighted with our stay at Steller B & B. So close to everything we wanted to do (Kenai Fiords Harbor Cruise, IdidaRide and Exit glacier). The setting was incredible with flowers and a small creek running behind our room. I loved the log cabins. Patty was so gracious and the room was lovely and convenient. The beds were very comfortable, even for my bad back and the quilts lovely. The continental breakfast was ideal - with the refrgerator, microwave and coffee maker, the breakfast was there and available whenever we were ready for it. I hated to leave and I hope to visit again very soon!

Steller B&B is a beautiful place, in a beautiful setting, away from it all, yet only 5 minutes from the boat harbor. The in-room continental breakfast is really handy to eat while getting ready for early morning fishing or boat tour. We were in the wheelchair-accessible room, which was roomy and convenient, with a great shower. The price was one of the best I found and I reserved via email with ease. I will stay at Steller again and I recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: Consider the wheelchair-accessible room even if you don't need it, especially if you're thre...

What a lovely surprise awaited us from the time we arrived. The place was simply beautiful! Spotlessly clean and well tended! Professionally run with everything you might need for an overnight stay. Personally greeted by owners at check in -- rooms complete with refrig, microwave, and coffee pot. Beautiful quilts covered the beds. Rooms not equipped with a tv, but you find yourself enjoying the peaceful quiet. And you couldn't help but notice the beautiful flowers everywhere! Fortunately for us we live close enough to plan for a return trip in the near future!

We enjoyed our stay at this place. It is nice of Patty to upgrade us to a bigger room since it was vacant. There is a lil creek just behind our room and room had a nice cabin feel. Kept very neat and was quiet. The breakfast was decent enough to survive a 10 mile hike to Harding Icefield Trail:) Very close to Exit glacier.

We recently stayed for 3 nights on the recommendation of friends. We found a beautiful setting, a clean room and comfortable bed at a great price. What we didn't know until we arrived was that we would not have a private bath, we have never booked a room without a bath, but if you don't mind sharing and don't need to get up at night it's not a problem. This is listed as a bed and breakfast but the breakfast is really a continental breakfast, muffins, full sugar yogurt, orange juice and coffee which is fine for a lot of people. It would be nice to have the option of maybe low sugar yogurt or greek yogurt so some protein would be included. We would stay again but with a bathroom and would bring additions for breakfast. Oh one last thing, the walls are not sound proof so as a previous review stated you can hear your neighbors.
