My husband and I took the 6 hour excursion to Kenai Fjords National Park and it was spectacular. The boat is very comfortable with inside and outside seating. There is more than enough seating inside for everyone to be accommodated if the weather is not cooperating. It is very easy to walk around and the captain would direct us to which side of the boat to go to, to see the best view of either the wildlife or glacier. The crew are friendly and really want the passengers to have a good time. Our boat captain Renee was fantastic at spotting wildlife. We saw whales, harbor seals, sea lions, otters, puffins, sea gulls, doll porpoises and more, and her narration during the entire cruise, explaining what we were seeing, how the glaciers have changed over time, and her skill at controlling the boat was perfection. We saw more whales on this excursion and closer than we did on our whale watching tour in Juneau. We were very fortunate to have fabulous weather with clear blue skies and temps in the mid 70's. The glaciers just were stunning to look at and the captain got us as close as was safely possible. Lunch is served (a Caesar chicken wrap, chips, granola bar) and other refreshments and drinks are available on board at reasonable prices. Towards the end of the cruise warm chocolate chip cookies are served. There is free parking with a free shuttle to take you from the parking lot to the harbor which was a nice addition. I met folks on the tour that had taken the train from Anchorage and the shuttles picked them up at the train station and returned them to the train after the tour. I can't say enough good things about this tour. Don't think twice about taking it. Do IT! You won't be sorry.

We were supposed to do the 6-hour National Park tour. When we arrived in Seward, it was raining and they informed us that they were cancelling the 8hr and 6hr tours. They offered to give a full refund, or to give a partial refund to take the 4hr bay cruise route. We figured since we were there, we might as well do it... should have accepted the full refund instead. hey should have just canceled all the tours.

The water conditions were rough, and I felt sick on some instances, even after taking dramamine beforehand. Luckily on this specific tour, we actually got to stop on Fox Island for lunch, which was good because I don't know what I would have done if I had to eat on that teetering boat. The dining hall was nice and they had a choice of salmon or prime rib, and you can pay extra for crab legs. There was a park ranger on hand who gave a short presentation about the parks, but she basically just read from a printed out sheet of paper, so that was a little lackluster.

I will say, however, that even though the weather was bad, we were fortunate enough to see a humpback whale, puffins, otters and sea lions. The captain was very nice and informative, and was great about explaining about the land and the animals. And towards the end of the cruise, the staff gave us all warm chocolate chip cookies.

If your cruise ever gets canceled and a glacier is not possible, you can drive to Exit Glacier. It's just 10 miles outside of Seward, and you can park and hike in to see the glacier. We did that after our cruise and it was totally worth it! You can get pretty close. There is a short trail (0.5mi) and a long trail to get up to the top (4mi).

My husband and I took two Glacier/Marine wildlife tours while visiting the Kenai peninsula. And both tours were different and equally good. This tour was done on an large catamaran and was more like sitting on a bus, with an ability to move around the decks. The Captain narrated the tour and was very knowledgeable and was as interested in seeing all kinds of wildlife as the passengers - which afforded us plenty of time to actually watch the things we saw. We also spent over an hour at the glacier watching it calve. Lunch was served on board which was a chicken Cesar wrap and a granola bar and a small bag of carrots - nothing special, but we weren't taking it for the food. I would recommend this tour and on our return, in a couple of years, will most likely do it again!

Took their 6 hour cruise as part of a package and truly enjoyed everything that the area offered. Our boat captain Mark was amazing. Very knowledgeable and excellent narration and a great spotter of whales and other marine mammals. Not to be missed.

This trip is a real must do! Boat comfortable and spacious. Breakfast and lunch provided very good. Easy viewing from around the boat. We sat outside which was excellent. Commentary by captain interesting & informative. All staff friendly and knowledgeable. We saw humpbacks, seals, sea lions, orca, sea otters and puffins. Really enjoyed going up to the glacier and watching it calving into the water. Scenery stunning, wildlife viewing awesome, was just brilliant!
