We spent four nights at the Exit glacier Lodge. We booked a double room at the 1 st floor but staff gave us a the room n°1. The room looks like a motel room: a bed with a little old tv and a bathroom for disabled people. The breakfast was good and the staff was nice. Seward is a very good spot. We hiked twice: The nice Lost Lake trail and the easy Harding Ice field with nice views. But the most beautiful activity was the cruise we saw: Seals, whales, orcas, dolphins, puffins and ....

My family spent a night here on our recent Alaska trip. The cabin was cozy for the four of us, but fine for our needs. Dinner at the Salmon Bake Restaurant on site was tasty and affordable. What really impressed us was the service. The owner was extremely helpful in suggesting options for getting to the Kenai Fjords National Park visitor center for an early morning hike, offered to prepare a lunch for me to take, was back before 5 a.m. preparing breakfast (which she didn't charge me for when she saw how little I actually ate) and even drove my wife and kids to the visitor center herself. That personal touch really makes a big difference!

After spending some time driving through and around Seward, I concluded Exit Glacier Lodge was the best place to stay. Excellent accommodations and location. Very close to downtown and charter fishing boats and also very close to National Parks. Staff is extremely friendly and the rooms and common areas were always very clean.
Vince and Sarah Benjamin are the Owners of Exit Glacier Lodge and are wonderful Hosts.

We stayed at Exit Glacier Lodge for 2 nights during our visit to Seward in July. The location was wonderful, close proximity to Exit Glacier, which afforded us great accessibility for hiking. Downtown Seward is about a 5-10min drive, which isn't bad at all. The lodge was quaintly decorated, with very cozy rooms. My husband and I had booked the Deluxe room (simply because the regular king rooms were sold out when I called), which worked for us wonderfully. Very clean, comfortable room, with great amenities. Breakfast is served downstairs, and the staff will make you waffles on request. Yummy! Very friendly owner/staff, and I would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a smaller-than-hotel feel for their stay in Seward. With limited options in town during high season, this place is a definite find!! And the Salmon Bake next door (owned by the same people) had great food!! (Despite their claim of cheap beer and lousy food! lol)

Room Tip: Deluxe room, even though it has 2 beds (one queen/one full) is not too roomy for 2 people. Actually...

We switched to here over the Hotel Seward, and I'm glad we did. They have nice rooms and they are at a good price when compared to other places in Seward. The location near Kenai Fjords was great, since we spent a lot of time hiking the Harding Icefield and also spending time around the glaciers. The drive into town was very easy, and we enjoyed the location. We ate one night at the Salmon Bake Restaurant, and it was pretty good.

Try and get a room away from the kitchen, as it can be loud in the morning when the fishermen go out.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was spacious & well appointed - if a little sterile on character. The lodge is impeccable clean & looks brand new. Staff are really helpful & friendly, though front desk seems to be missing the personal touch (apart from the owner). Breakfasts are adequate, served in a room that has a good ambiance. Our room was on the 2nd floor & the heating was not able to be regulated - by us or anyone else apparently. It was very warm - to the point of being uncomfortable.

Room Tip: Don't stay in the 'middle' of the lodge - apparently the middle rooms on each floor have...

Needed a place to stay in Seward and the traditional hotels were booked. I found this place on Trip Advisor and ssoooo happy that I did. From the moment we walked in, I knew it would be a great stay. There were fun pictures in the halls depicting historical Alaska and many animal mounts throughout. The room was spotless, but the best part was when i climbed into bed at night --- super comfy!! I have to say it reminded me a lot of a Hampton Inn, nice beds and waffles in the morning. The difference, they make the waffles for you! I also loved the fact that this hotel was outside the city because it was near everything we wanted to do: Exit Glacier and Seavey's Ididaride. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Our room was on the parking lot side away from the restaurant and was super quiet, we even slept wit...
