“Great place/Nice people”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

The Breeze Inn is a very nice place to stay. Is is separated into two different places, the old and the new. The annex (the old) can have a pretty harbor view. Even though the street was below it did not seem noisy and I am a light sleeper. It had dark shades for the windows, remember it's light until 10:30ish. Room was clean and queen bed comfortable. Coffee maker in room. The staff at the hotel are Very nice. Everyone there go out of there way to do everything they can to make your stay as perfect as possible. I spent quite a bit of time in their beautiful lodge looking lobby and heard nothing but professionalism from each and every one of their staff as they handled all the clients. Shelly is the manager and it is nice to know that things she has such a great staff. They also have a free shuttle which they call when you want to be taken to the cruise ship if you are there for that reason. Cruise ship people should consider this place.

We chose this hotel because it was near the small boat harbor, and we were very satisfied with our stay. We requested a premium room facing the harbor, and the room was comfortable and met our needs. The decor is a bit dated, but it didn't detract from a good night's sleep! They have an on-site coin laundry. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We definitely would recommend this hotel.

We didn't plan to end up in this town but we were glad we did! We loved the town but this hotel was bad!! We were on out honeymoon and had to get a room with 2 queen beds and had to sleep in separate beds because they were so uncomfortable! That was the most I have ever paid for worst hotel bed I have ever slept in!!

First, decide which part of Seward you want to stay in, the small boat harbor or down town. There is a shuttle during the day and no problem if you have wheels, but a long walk between the two otherwise. This hotel is at the small boat harbor, where the tours all leave from. Down town seems to have a bit more ambiance and quiet.

The Breeze Inn appears to be 3 separate buildings constructed years apart. This review is for a room in the new building containing the lobby. Prices are FAR higher than older smoking rooms. The room was spacious and clean, and we slept well. We had a room facing the highway and mountains, providing something of a view. The other side of the building would view a parking lot and other hotel rooms.

We had a do not disturb sign up until about 9:30, but room service folks were clearly still cleaning in the vicinity when we left. They didn't make up our room. Upon checkout, the front desk said we had to have sign down by 8 AM, or they wouldn't return. Hmmm. Slightly lacking in customer service?

Yes, Seward in the summer is a hot spot with high prices. At the price of this room, everything should be impeccable. I'd give one of the other properties rated 1, 2 and 3 on Trip Advisor a try next time. One is very near this property and the other 2 are down town.

I am a 72 year old man with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known to as Lou Gehrig's disease. This is a neurodegenerative disease that usually attacks both upper and lower motor neurons and causes degeneration throughout the brain and spinal cord. It is not known what causes ALS; as a result, there is no cure.

I requested a handicap room with a roll-in-shower. The room was very large with enough room for me to use my wheelchair with ease. The king-size bed was very comfortable. The bath room was large. Again, the room was easy to use my wheelchair. Everything in the bath room was very handicap accessible. Such as counter space, under counter room for wheelchair, toilet was a good height. But, most of all the shower was set up perfectly. I had the best and most comfortable shower I ever had in a hotel.

The people of the hotel were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. What nice people...

If ever I am there again, it's The Breeze Inn for me.

Good location; staff is very nice. Clean rooms. They let us park for free on our last day, when we were out on a cruise of Resurrection Bay. Attached restaurant is good food and nice service. We enjoyed out stay.

Wasn't sure about staying here based on some reviews, but really nice hotel. We were in the new part so that helped. Had a gorgeous view of harbor. Only drawback if you're a light sleeper, the delivery truck for the restaurant was right under our window. And they deliver VERY early in the morning. Rooms very clean, staff accommodating.would stay again

Room Tip: Pick the new building with harbor view
