Set back in a wooded area, this lodge was an unexpected surprise. The rooms are spacious and the furniture, including the clothing rack , hanging shelf, headboards and chairs, is made of wooden logs. The bathroom is small, but the basin is separate, so more than one person has plenty of room . The staff is friendly and helpful. A short 5 minutes from "downtown". Shuttle runs frequently if you dont have a car.

I stayed at the lodge one night as my wife and I toured around the penisula. We loved our room, all we needed was there. Staff was awesome! Friendly and attentive, the barista in the lobby makes the best coffee I have ever had in ak. Will be coming back.

Sure it's "quaint" but c'mon you're in Alaska!

After taking fjords tour coming to the Windsong just added to the trip and the experience. Hotel staff friendly and greeting upon check-in was professional. Very rustic and comfortable rooms. Walk around separate cabins all were well kept. Won't be disappointed in staying at Seward Windsong. Beautiful sights out the window....

A comfortable place to spend a day or two. The only problem with the rooms is that the sink is by the bed. So bathroom has bath, shower and toilet but sink is outside the room by the beds. Strange really. Staff were very friendly and made everyone comfortable. You could get a simple breakfast in the main lobby area, coffee, muffins and scones. The great thing is the shuttle service they have, goes everywhere, and even more if you ask nicely. Would stay here again

We were looking for a good value to stay the night after our Kenai Fjords excursion. The Windsong was was one of the more reasonably priced hotels in the Seward area and is associated with the Fjords company so I felt certain that it would be maintained with the same high standards. We were not disappointed. As has been noted in other reviews, there are several buildings with several rooms in each. The accommodations are not opulent but comfortable. It is a little out of town but as we had a rental car this was not an issue. I did notice a shuttle service from town to the lodge however. The lodge is located on the same road as Exit Glacier. This is a must if you are in Seward and have the transportation. Very pleased.

We stayed here one night as part of our Holland America land package. The hotel is located outside of Seward and you need to take a cab or shuttle bus into town. As the pictures on this site show, the hotel is comprised of a number of rustic two story buildings with 7 or so rooms per floor. We were on the bottom floor and our upstairs neighbors made quite a bit of noise due to the wood construction. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a drink at the bar and ate both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant (Resurrection Roadhouse) which was quite fine. Watch out for the mosquitoes as you are in a wooded area.

I booked this hotel through the Kenai Fjord tour and all worked out very well. I took the train down from Anchorage which was magnificent!! The lodge shuttle picked us up at the train. Larry explained everything. They took our luggage to the hotel. I visited the Sea Life Center, wandered around town, had lunch then took the shuttle back and checked in. Next morning shuttle took me to the boat tour and I took back to Anchorage from the same bus stop. Bus ride was also incredibly scenic and a lot less expensive than the train.

The Windsong has a small campus of log cabin/chalet like buildings nestled in the woods. I was in Violet near the restaurant. The room was very spacious- 2 queens and a day bed, two TVs, kitchen table, fridge. Nice bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. It was clean, quiet- all good. Scenic location. Main lodge had a cafe, Internet, couches, etc.
