Owner description: We are two mushers - Travis Beals & Sarah Stokey - who share a passion for dog sledding, the Iditarod sled dog race, & story telling. Come meet our dogs, play with our puppies, and learn a little bit about Alaska's state sport before going for a fun dog sled ride. Our tours are kept small, customized to your groups needs, and are very hands on. We look forward to meeting you!

This was a great experience! I took my two daughters-ages 22 and 18- they were less than excited at first, but when we saw the puppies and got to hold they-they warmed up to the idea. The ride on the sled was fantastic and we all had a great time. It was an experience we will never forget! Travis was so personable and we willing to answer all our questions, he made sure we were happy and had a good time. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is looking for something memorable to do at a reasonable price!

Meet Travis Beals a professional Iditarod musher. Travis leads the tour, let's you interact with the dogs and takes you on a cart pulled by the dogs. We saw an eagle fly from the nest at the kennel. Outstanding!

Thanks! We are glad your family had a very memorable experience at our kennel. Isn't that eagle nest cool? We think we are pretty lucky have such cool "neighbors" and are so glad you got a chance to see them in flight! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a nice note -- it certainly puts a smile on our faces!

Unbelievable experience! The owners treat you like one of their own and guide you through the excitement of the sport and the "cuteness" of the dogs. I highly recommend this activity!

This was a refreshing change to the normal 'tourist attractions' in Seward. If you love dogs, you must experience this! Riding in the 'wheeled sled' was amazing. It shows you the strength and enthusiasm of the dogs. Sarah and Travis are amazing hosts with as much determination as the dogs. (visit Resurrection Roadhouse nearby for good food and beer)

Turning Heads train and run over 50 sled dog in competitions. The dogs are socialized to people as well as trained to race, unlike other trainers who restrict training to racing and keep many of their main dogs from visitors. Travis & Sara, the owners, generously share their knowledge about training dogs, open the kennels to visitors, and allow time for petting the large dogs, and holding the puppies. Worth the expense.
