Great views, welcoming people, and outstanding accomadations. Our two night stay was complete with a flyover by the local bald eagle, dinners on the grill outside on the patio staring at the mountains, city accomadations with a backwoods feel. Thanks Stoney Creek for helping make my alaska trip memorable.

Stoney Creek Inn is not far from downtown and the harbor (but you definitely need a car) and it has an “in the woods cabin” feel. The complimentary breakfast (in the in-room fridge) was lovely – cereal, milk, coffee, orange juice, muffins and fruit slices. It was really fun to relax in the hot tub and sauna (outside with a pretty view of the woods and a creek) after long days of activities. One small downside is that we felt the bed was a bit hard but otherwise, free wifi is available and there is a nice common space in the main building that includes a fireplace, board games and hot chocolate/tea. We stayed here as two couples and saw a family with teenagers who was staying here so it’s a good fit for everyone.

This place is peaceful and the hot tub by the creek is AWESOME! Bald eagles swoop by and apparently, sometimes, a black bear will cross the water (though we only saw the former, not the latter).

The proprietors are nice, though you'll barely them see them ... but you will see their welcoming committee of sweet, shy mutts.

This B&B is more like mini-hotel as the guests stay in a separate building. The beds are comfy, the rooms are a nice size, the continental breakfast (yogurt, fruit, cereal) is easy for being on the go, and the common room is perfect for hanging out and meeting other guests. Though a bit out of town, it's worth the drive. If we ever get back to Seward we'll definitely stay here!

My wife and our four adult children stayed 2 nights at the Stoney Creek inn and 2 nights at their new guest house next door during mid-June, 2014. The 2 nights at the Inn was very comfortable with a queen size bed, small table and little breakfast setup with coffee, juice and muffins. The common area has three couches, gas fireplace and fast Wifi too! The kids enjoyed the hot tub next to the creek, but they didn't use the sauna. Our two nights at the new guest house was great and I cooked halibut and salmon on the brand new grill listening to another creek across the road. This is a special little place about 3-4 miles from Seward and I highly recommend it. Kent and Lisa are very pleasant people and attentive to our needs.

Room Tip: We recommend the three bedroom and two bath guest house for groups and the inn rooms for couples.

We stayed here our last nights in Alaska and it was a great experience. There was a nice living room with an electric fireplace we gathered around in the evenings. Our room was small but the bed was very comfortable. There was a small refrigerator in our room with milk, juice, fruit and yogurt. They also provided gigantic muffins and cereal. Each day there were new people arriving and we enjoyed chatting with them.

We stayed at Stoney Creek for a friend's wedding this past weekend. It's a very charming place - clean and quiet, and you can hear the sound of the two nearby creeks when you leave your window open. Very comfy beds, and the rooms have lots of handy conveniences - hair driers, plenty of outlets, free (and fast!) wi-fi, good cell phone signal, small fridges and even breakfast (muffins, OJ, milk, coffee, yogurts). The property is on a quiet dirt road that is great for strolling down. The Inn is six miles out of town, but that works to its benefit in that there isn't tons of traffic and noise. There's a Safeway grocery and liquor store a few miles down the road so you can stock your fridge up, and there are some really great restaurants in town as well as lots to see and do.

Our only complaint, and it's a very small one: husband and I are both tall-ish, and we found the placement of the shower head in our bathroom (we stayed in Room 1) to be very low. Like, the water hit me between the shoulder blades and I had to bend down to wash my hair...and I'm 5'10". That's literally the ONLY thing I can find to gripe about when it comes to Stoney Creek, though.

Also - there were a LOT of mosquitoes, so bring bug spray - but that's an Alaska thing, not just a Stoney Creek Inn thing. :D

We can't wait to plan our next trip to Seward, and hope to be able to stay at Stoney Creek again.

We stayed 3 nights at this inn. The owner has a separate building with 5 rooms, all of which have their own bathroom facilities. There is a very nice common room with a fireplace, couches, table and chairs. They have tea, hot chocolate, etc. available all the time. Then, on the creek(more like a river), they have a hot tub and sauna - you sit in the hot tub and hear the water rushing. It was so relaxing. Breakfast consisted of cereal, juice, fresh fruit and a very nice muffin.
The inn is about 3 miles out of town, but still very convenient. It was one of our favorite places to stay in Alaska.
