“Gotta see it!”
Reviewed 22 August 2014

I don't normally give a score of excellent on my reviews unless a place is truly outstanding. I think too many people are to quick to freely give excellent reviews and skew the actual rating of a place or attraction. This is one attraction I can say is truly deserving of an "Excellent" review. The staff is super attentive and helpful. They love to tell stories of experiences and assist with many of the attractions. The displays are very nice and well laid out, some are even very interactive where you can touch and experience the wildlife. I took so many pictures in this place. If there is one thing you need to see or do on the Kenai Penninsula, it is the Sealife Center. There are things here you won't see anywhere else and most of it is from or is native to the local waters of Resurection Bay. Worth the money and the time. And yes; they have PUFFINS!

“Puffins!”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

This was one of the most rewarding stops in all of our Alaska vacation side trips. The exhibits are beautiful and intimate. We were only inches from the Puffins! The Stellar sea lion was a real ham and wanted to show off for everyone. All of the exhibits were tasteful and informative. LOVED IT!

“Better than expected”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

We hadn't originally planned on going to the SeaLife Center, but ended up here during some extra time and bad weather. I've been to several aquariums both domestically and internationally, so I wasn't expecting much from this seemingly small building. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of marine life and great exhibits. Reasonable price for a couple hours of exploration. Loved the octopus!

“A must see in Seward.”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

This was probably my favorite stop on our Alaska vacation. The center is a great place to visit Puffins and other birds up close in their aviary, see sea lions and sea otters, salmon, etc. It's not a very large aquarium but extremely nice.

“The Best of Seward”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

This was originally a fill in attraction after a Fjord cruise. The cruise was cancelled because of high seas and poor visibility. Am I disappointed? Absolutely not! Our 1 hour drop in turned into a four hour in depth experience. How about puffins 2 feet away struting their stuff along with a whole raft of other ducks, gulls, etc?. The octopus has to be at least 16 feet tip to tip and active too. A 1700 lb Stellar Sea Lion glides around his habitat. The animal habitat can be view from above and below water. It is the first time I have ever seen a puffin swiming underwater. This isn't a zoo, it is a real research center. We took a behind the scenes Harbor Seals tour and found the exhibition area is dwarfed by the working part of this facility.
