This inn in Seward is in a great location, great price, rooms very clean, and fresh. Good view of the harbor and mountains. Upon arrival and we were greeted and treated as family. They helped us with arrangements sites to see local information. But above and beyond your normal check in. We were so pleased with our stay here. Highly recommend checking them out

Room Tip: Room 201 is bigger and great view of Seward

Murphy's Inn was a pleasant surprise in Seward Alaska. Our room had a beautiful view of Resurrection Bay and the the Mountains beyond. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent. They assisted us on the sites to see in Seward and the transportation to the Sea Life Center and Exit Glacier National Park. It is a short walk to the fishing docks, shops, and restaurants.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the two story section with the window facing resurrection bay.

Recently stayed at Murphy's for 3 nights prior to getting on a cruise ship. At first sight you may be discouraged: the exterior looks well-weathered. What should I expect considering Alaska weather? Inside, the room was exceptionally clean, spacious, everything worked, and the bed was comfortable. Coffee in the room. The included "breakfast" was really just a snack -- breads and yogurt, but enough to get your day started.

The motel's owners and staff were great -- friendly, informative and extremely helpful (even took one of our party to the post office).

Bottom line: great value, central location, friendly peoploe; would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the "new" section, second floor to avoid traffic noise.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We found the location very convenient for getting to the harbour for our wildlife/glacier cruise. We stayed in one of the top floor rooms with an outlook towards the harbour and distant mountains, very picturesque. The room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was reasonable and I learned how to use a bagel slicing device.

Stayed: July 2012, travelled as a couple
