“WONDERFUL!!”
Reviewed 18 August 2013

I highly recommend these cabins! they are very cozy and have everything that you need. They bathroom and showers were clean and neat. I loved the seclusion of the property and the quality of the cabins. I would highly recomment this as a place to stay in Seward.

Room Tip: All cabins are great!

Great little cabin with all the essentials and unbeatable scenery! Our spruce cabin was nestled along side a small creek we spent a lot of time watching the salmon swim upstream! Truly an amazing place-- definitely recommend!

We spent 2 nights in the adorable "Burl" cabin and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The cabins are located a short drive to downtown Seward which is a super cute town. It is also a short drive over to Exit Glacier (highly recommend checking the glacier out).

The room was very comfortable, clean, and cozy. There are even had blackout curtains to make sleeping in Alaska during the summer easier. Tim, the manager/owner, provided us with water, juice, coffee, and a pile of wood each day. We took full advantage of the wood by grilling fresh salmon from Seward over the firepit. Our cabin was located right next to the peaceful river where we were lucky enough to see a salmon swim upstream!

The only thing that might be an issue for some folks is that the cabins do not have their own bathrooms. The bathrooms are a short walk away and the toilets are shared but showers are individual rooms. Tim keeps them VERY clean and comfortable. This was not a deal breaker for us given how awesome everything else is.

If we ever find ourselves in Alaska again, we will definitely be staying here again! Seward is an amazing place and these cabins were the perfect spot to rest after a day of exploring.

Thank you, Tim for being so great!

My girlfriend and I stayed here in August and it was perfect. While we weren't as secluded as some reviews have suggested, we did feel like we were in our own cabin in the woods near a stream with salmon spawning outside our porch. We were supplied with firewood and newspaper for starter which was very nice of them. The room was clean and we cooked breakfasts and dinners inside. It was nice to have a BBQ access too as we cooked salmon and veggies. The bathrooms and showers are separated and sometimes the showers were occupied, but overall they were clean and accessible. The cabins are located just as you enter Seward city limits and right off the road leading to Exit Glacier which was easy to get to. DVDs were available for borrow which was nice on some of those nights when you just wanted to relax. Really, we had all that we needed and had a lovely experience staying here!

We stayed here a week and it felt like real Alaska. Each cabin is unique and cozy. There is a centrally located bath house with showers and all the rest. We never waited and they are always clean. Tim is very hospitable and stocks the cabin with firewood, towles, juice and water. The electric heaters kept us cozy while it rained all week (the only downer). It is a short drive to Seward for food, fishing etc. We traveled to Exit Glacier, Cooper Landing and Seward every day and had a bunch of fun. We stayed in Spruce cabin which is a great size for two. There is sat TV and movies available. The coolest thing about this location is the creek. On a daily basis we kept track of the Salmon spawning just steps from our cabin. While eating breakfast you could watch fish. You can't fish for them and really you wouldn't want to, but it was really neat to see. Spring cabin may be a little tight but its over the water. Tim is doing work on things each day and I expect things to continue to be great and get even better. If you are looking for the fancy downtown hotel with room service this may not be for you, if you want a cool place to stay with character and privacy with plenty of comforts, this is your place.

Room Tip: Call Tim and ask him, he's super helpful.

My wife and I stayed in the Spring Cabin and the Yukon Cabin in July 2013. We were only in Alaska for a few days, and I couldn't think of a more perfect place to set up as our home camp. Creekside is the absolute ideal pairing of the joys of camping (fire pits, wildlife, woods, quiet, seclusion) and the convenience and comfort of inns (immaculate cabins, fridge, amenities). One can enjoy cooking over a campfire and relaxing with the Alaskan wilderness all around, then retire to the comfort of a clean, cozy cabin. The cabins are perfectly located, near Exit Glacier, as well as Seward. There is so much to do in the area, we could have easily spent another week there. Tim is the absolute perfect host. He is considerate, genuine, helpful, accommodating, and wants nothing more than for his guests to have the perfect experience. You will not find yourself in any sort of need or inconvenience with Tim around. The experience brought to mind the old days when travelers would stop and stay with their hosts, and hospitality was a way of life and a virtue rather than something contrived or manufactured.
I highly recommend Creekside Cabins for individuals looking to get into the wilderness for a while; couples looking for a romantic getaway; families wanting to enjoy the best Alaska has to offer; or any sort of traveler seeking the perfect Alaska retreat. We will definitely be back! Thanks for everything!

Room Tip: Spring Cabin is the most secluded and the largest. Yukon Cabin is also secluded and the newest...

My husband and I stayed in the Spring Cabin for 4 nights in late June 2013. We had planned a very active vacation, and this was the perfect home base for our excursions around Seward and the surrounding area. The cabin is perfectly situated near Exit Glacier, and it's a very short drive into the town of Seward.

The owner, Tim, was an awesome host. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel right at home and had great recommendations.

We really enjoyed the Spring Cabin. As others have mentioned, there is a nice creek running right outside, a picnic table, and a fire pit. Inside the cabin is very spacious, more than enough room for two people to comfortably spread out. The mini fridge and microwave came in very handy, since we made our own lunches and some dinners. Tim stocked the mini fridge each day with juice, which my husband loved. One thing to note, the window blinds in the cabin don't block out all of the light in the evening, so consider bringing an eye mask if that would bother you.

The bathroom facilities were great, and it was no problem to walk the short distance.

I hope we get to go back someday, we would definitely stay here again!
