A pet peeve of mine is hotels that advertise lake view or mountain view and charge you extra for such a room. When you arrive, you find that if you peak between the adjacent buildings you might actually see something.
This hotel is different. The harbor opens up in front of you. It's a great setting, convenient to the boat tours and only a short distance to downtown.
The hotel is expensive for a Holiday Inn Express - but it's Alaska and they are all expensive. Rooms were clean and well mantained. The breakfast was as expected and to my surprise they had chocolate chip cookies at 5:00.
It does have an indoor pool - which we did not have time to take advantage off.
All in all, very pleased with this hotel.More
