My daughter and I had an amazing experience! Everyone at Adventure Sixty North was kind, helpful, professional and friendly. Our guide, Sunny, was the BEST! It was just my daughter, Sunny and myself on the trip. The helicopter ride out and back was beautiful - viewing mountains, Bear Glacier and the ocean from the air. Once we landed, Sunny helped us with all the gear and we were off. The weather was overcast and we had a light rain off and on throughout the day but we were warm and dry and honestly we were not bothered one bit by the weather. In fact, the weather brought out the deep blue color of the glacier. Paddling in the aqua colored water around large pieces of ice was so peaceful and the scenery breathtaking. Sunny was the perfect guide for us - her love for kayeking and the beauty of our surroundings was so obvious. She allowed us to take in the quiet beauty while paddling and later shared stories about her adventures in Alaska while on shore. It was very exciting to see and hear a piece of the glacier break off right beside where we were paddling. Since the conditions in the lagoon allowed for this, Sunny surprised us by taking us to the shore where we could walk across the stones to the beach leading to the Gulf of Alaska where the waves came crashing in. We sat on a log and had snacks while we took in the beach. The only other people we saw was one other kayek near the end of our adventure. Talk about solitude!! I would definitely recommend this trip! It exceeded all of our expectations!! My 22 year old daughter loved it!! It is pricy BUT worth every penny.

We had a fantastic time on the Aialik Bay full day glacier sea kayaking trip. The guides (Sunny and Kaitlin) and water taxi captain (Gabe) made the trip extra fun and were very knowledgeable. Aside from navigating the bay, they also knew where and how to spot wildlife. We got incredibly lucky, seeing orcas, humpbacks, sea lions, a bear, and tons of otters, seals, and puffins. The sound of the ice crashing into the bay as the glacier calved was incredible even from 2 miles out. This really was a day trip packed with memories that will last a lifetime.

A few random notes:
-the lunch sandwiches were surprisingly good, and I'm pretty opinionated when it comes to sandwiches
-things went very smoothly, especially considering that it was the first day of the tourist season
-the trip description online was very accurate
-pricey but worth it

We took a kayaking tour in April and had a great experience. Amazing kayak tour from our guide, Sunny. She also gave us a bunch of suggestions of what else to do while we were in town. The whole staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating- had a great time and definitely recommend!
