The manor, the park, the nature - and THEN the excellent food and service. Really a perfect spot for a romantic couple of days ! Having visited some of the best restaurants of the World we will still recommend a visit to Pädaste. The whole ambience is absolutely delightful - without being pretentious !!! Warmest recommendations from a couple of romantic globetrotters from Copenhagen ;-)

This is a lovely hotel in a very tranquil setting and the service and food are fantastic. The only areas for improvement are the spa which is fairly basic - even though the treatments are excellent - and a small gripe about the fact that there are no tea or coffee making facilities. The only reason we marked down sleep quality was that we found the room very stuffy at night.

Room Tip: We had a lovely big room on the corner.

This was a perfect peaceful antidote too having spent 6 nights in city centre hotels in Helsinki & Tallin prior to arriving here. The hotel setting is wonderful, in its own grounds, with views over the Baltic. All the various buildings look fantastic. We stayed in the Manor Hse and were lucky to be upgraded to a junior suite. The room was fantastic: clean, spacious, comfortable, electric gadgets, a balcony and view over the side garden. All the staff throughout our stay were excellent. Breakfasts were superb, good choice and quality ingredients and prepared well. We ate at the terrace a number of times and thoroughly enjoyed the food there, and sitting overlooking the Baltic is very nice. Muhu island is so relaxing and Padaste follows this theme. If we ever visit Estonia again, we would like to return here.

Room Tip: Stay in Manor House

Words are not enough to describe how fantastic this place is(!), but below an attempt to list a few items that made our stay magical.
The manor is located beautifully in postcard like nature by water. The manor and surroundings breathe relaxation and merely having a walk in the area vitalizes the energy levels. For gourmands and nature loving people, as ourselves, it was fantastic to find out that the manor has its own herb garden and to be able to stroll freely in this garden.
The manor's Alexander restaurant just blew our minds (and we are very picky and experienced food critics). We had a 7 course dinner which was out of this world. The innovative celebration to the nordic cuisine and nature is pure genius. Also, a large part of the restaurant faces an all green garden through a glass veranda adding up visually to the "nature experience", not to mention that this is a very romantic scenery. All this together with impeccable, professional and hearty service makes an evening at the Alexander to a memory late to be forgotten.
There are many more wonderful things that can be said about Padaste manor, but to sum up a bit, the rooms, the service, the comfort are all on a top notch level. If you are looking for a piece of pure magic from relaxation, food and life quality point of view this can all be found at this Estonian jewel.

I've never been in a place of this quality although I've been in several 5 star hotels. Just magical!

We had 7 course dinner in the restaurant Alexander that has been chosen as the best restaurant in Estonia in 2010, 2011 and 2012 and I don't wonder why. One of the best dinners of my life although I've eaten in several Michelin star restaurants.

Note. Also the breakfast was the best in my life.

As a global traveler i am not going to mince words, this place was out of this world. To start we took the ferry over to Muhu Island. We were driving from Latvia. Nice way to start a holiday, smooth saiing to our destination. Just a short ride from the ferry we arrived at Padaste.Amazing green pastures , beautiful flowers , peaceful buildings dotting the landscape with sky and sea view for as far as the eye could wonder.
I didn't stay in a room in the Manor house . I was lucky enough to stay in a delux room with a sleeping loft on a second level. A great big bed , dressed in with crisp Italian cotton sheets, separate duvet covers and pillows I had requested sat upright on the bed calling to me to get comfortable . The interiors were woody with beautiful soft brown throws and french doors leading onto a dainty veranda. I have out grown the idea that a tv shouldn't be in the bedroom, it really is my cure for jet lag . An amazing selection of stations were available and should i have wanted to stay in the room , if the weather were not accommodating at least i could catch up on some tellie. Bottled water sat on lovely end tables and were replaced daily , none of this one bottle one time. We quickly freshened up and took off to make dinner reservations in the main building , but first took the stylish dutch bikes that sat outside for a ride around the grounds . We booked saunas , massages and soaks . We sat at the waterfront for a cocktail and then headed back to dress for dinner . Observing the perfectly manicured grounds we stop to pounder these black beetle looking machines that silently trimmed the lawn without any sound we were greeted by Martin Breuer who introduced himself and welcomed us as a quest should be greeted to a grand manor . He answered all our questions and gave us the feeling he was happy to have us . How nice , when was the last time anyone came to welcome you to their resort? We had dinner, breakfast , lunch each living up to a Michelin 4 star . I especially liked the breakfast display. Rather than the same old buffet table ,in a large open air breakfast garden room, the wait staff would bring an individual multi- tiered breakfast display of delicious starters along with morning baked breads. One other tastey palate delight was a tea made from a local flower thats grows in the spring and then turned to a amuse bouche granite to some just known as palate refresher. I could have had that as desert ! The staff were perfect, the place was splendid. I am writing this at least 2 months after our stay . The Manor lingers on. Darling Bedlington

Room Tip: Every room is perfect.
