We have visited Padaste manor three times and it just gets better and better. most British families do not consider Estonia as a destination but this is a superb way to begin
It is set in a beautiful location and the staff and simply fantastic
It's easy to explore the island (Muhu - one of several large islands on the west coast of Estonia) and the neighboring islands

Room Tip: for larger families - try the Farmhouse - it's great

The stay here takes you back in time to the period where local barons ruled over land granted to them by various regal authorities over the centuries. The accommodations are spread among several outbuildings as well as the restored manor house. Quite nicely renovated or converted structures, but really pricey for both dining as well as staying on premises. Lovely views over the bay and breezes from the water adding just the right bit of maritime essence to the air. Interesting automated lawn mowing took place the entire time with several devices set loose on large grassed greens that kept catching your attention, though mostly quietly passing by outside your consciousness.

Room Tip: Prepare to pay for the experience, including the locally sourced dining choices.

Who would think that in such a small and isolated part of such a small country there is such a place as this! A large manor house near the water, among green fields and forest, has become a small hotel. It is understated, unfussy yet offers five star food and service as well as great relaxation and comfort. Staff are superbly trained, able to anticipate guest needs, speak english very well (as well as other languages).
Rooms are large, airy, well equipped with iPads offering music news, history and Safari. Wifi works well. Beds are huge and very comfy. Decorations are not chintzy or fussy but of the place and yet modern. The property is interesting to explore and offers relaxation and quiet.
Alexander's restaurant has a french chef currently who provides an interesting modern Estonian cuisine. Delicious, locally sourced, imaginatively presented without being over the top. The other restaurant Sea House is outdoors, more relaxed with garden views, varied menu with casual food and delicious grilled offerings.
There are bikes and row boats available, the sea is warm for swimming, at last it was in early July. pity that there is no easy place to enter the water for a dip. There is much bird life and there are great sunsets to be seen. Try sharing a bottle of champagne in the outdoor hot tub at 9.30 at night, as the sun slowly begins to set. A superb experience. We will be visiting again for sure.

Room Tip: We enjoyed a first floor room in the manor house itself. There was a large balcony, albeit shared...

Absolutely gorgeous property and facilities. From the moment you arrive, you feel like you are a VIP guest. We stayed in a ground-floor room of the manor house and definitely recommend that. The room was extremely quiet, with lovely views over the grounds. An enormous bathroom, very spacious bedroom area. Very clean and plush without being pretentious. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and it is an experience that is not to be missed. Delicious food in a gorgeous setting; very attentive service. Breakfast every morning is also quite an affair. It is in the restaurant's dining room and you are treated to the same level of food, and service, as at dinner. We also used rented bikes from the manor and took them around to explore the island. Highly recommend. We also indulged in some spa services (massages, sauna, and wraps) and thought that everything was absolutely first-rate. the servic

A simply amazing place that caters all your needs and where you truly feel like a king. The room and hotel is of excellent price/quality ratio as it is really ***** quality.
The Restaurant, Alexander has been voted Estonias best 4 years in a row for a good reason.
They always know who and where you are, so that things magically happen before you think of asking for it.
The SPA is very nice, if somewhat costly to Estonian standards.
For full relaxation and a week in a weekend strongly recommended.

Room Tip: They are all amazing

The whole complex is gergeous and has a romantic vibe. Great for weekend getaways and spa breaks. Luxurious atmosphere and breathtaking views! They also have a restaurant with an interesting menu.
Would rather recommend for couples, not families with small children.
