A very short walk into the fishing harbour of this pretty resort makes this hotel all about its location. The room was standard Ibis, very acceptable. We had a balcony, overlooking the railway line & harbour. The trains did not disturb our sleep although the line seemed quite busy. Parking was free and unrestricted on the street. The staff on booking in and out were very pleasant and spoke good English. They helped with a town map for our exploring. There is a budget Ibis next door, part of the same building. With our two dogs we walked to the beach front, and to the north of the town is an open green area where they could run around off lead. For late at night/early morning the riverfront by the hotel was fine for their walks.

Stayed here for one night. Small and located close to the town centre and the beach. Meal menu limited but food was ok. Rooms are very small and the toilet/shower is like being in a telephone box but ok for one night when travelling through. Breakfast was limited but ok and adequate.

The town restaurants do not seem to do cooked meals in the afternoon until after 1800hrs.

After a week in an apartment in Ciboure, followed by two days in another, we went traveling in Spain. On our return to France we thought we would stay in the town again, having had such a lovely time earlier.
We took the last room in the hotel but did not enjoy it. So many things in the room were faulty or badly designed, particularly in the bathroom. The bed was poor, the duvet far too warm and when we reported all these things and more in the morning, the staff were not interested.
85 Euro badly spent.

Room Tip: Best left to business reps who are used to such things.

Have stayed at this hotel several times now and have found it consistently good value for money. The service is very good and when Pierre (Asst Manager) is on duty it is excellent. He is a great asset to the hotel. Rooms are spacious and well proportioned, if a little sparsely furnished, but completely adequate for a short stay of 3-4 days. Hotel is well situated for the restaurants of St.Jean de Luz (walking distance) and Socoa and beaches. We can recommend highly.

We have found the Ibis chain to be a very reliable source for overnight stays while travelling Europe. This one has a great location in the very pretty town of St Jean de Luz. It is a modern building, with good foyer and breakfast areas as well as private parking ($7 Euro).

Our room size was OK, but a little smaller than others we have stayed in, as was the bathroom. The only real negative was the bed - again OK, but consisting of a foam mattress on a solid wooden platform, it was not as comfortable as the standard we were used to.

While there is a train line nearby, we never heard it. The village restaurants are a few minutes walk away.

We stayed here for a week´'s walking holiday. Staff were very efficient and friendly, room size large enough for a couple plus a child.
Lovely shower, no bath. Excellent beds and ok breakfast. Really close to both station and city center and beach. I highly recommend this hotel.
