Ok, we're biased, but every time we travel on the ferry via Roscoff we make an effort to call in here.

It's a lovely understated building in a great position on the square in a lovely and typical French town. The coffees, food and service are not overwhelming but they are everything you would want; good quality, tasty, plentiful, and hot! Served by happy relaxed staff.

If ever I have to think of French cafe life, this is the place that comes to mind. Long may it go on.

We recently made a visit this Brittany town and stopped by this cafe which had a number of mostly locals sitting outside in the sun. Inside ...in the heavily mirrored & old ...art deco interior ....was all quiet....with no customers.
We ordered our meals and sat outside....I had an omelette while my partner had a meat speciality dish...both of which were really just average quality.
However, the outside dining experience with this restaurant is/was largely spoiled by the cars & vans & 2 stroke bikes which roar pass just a couple of meters away from your table... all completely ignoring the slow down pavement breaks in the roadway. We both left without a dessert because of the unbearable noise level.

This brasserie, just opposite the Town Hall is in pole position and right next to the weekly Saturday market, The food is well prepared and tastey, Good value too. The waiters are very helpful and friendly and keen to recommend some excellent local wines ! The omlettes are prefect and the entrecote in a cream and mushroom sauce is particularly good.

Lovely old style grand cafe in Morlaix square, was very busy and we had to come back, but a table was then found for us promptly.

We thought it would be snooty as first esp when waitress brought an opened bottle of mineral water! This was sent back and once we ordered there was no problems.

We both had the 4 egg omelettes with cheese and mushrooms / ham. These were the best omelettes I have had in my life. I normally have butter on my bred with an omelette but you couldnt with these. They had been fried a lovely golden brown in butter and they tasted decadent! We then had a chocolate cake, which was superb.

As the meal progressed staff and other customers paid lot of attention to us and our little one who was eating very well at the table (as french children do!) this seemed appreciated and liked by everyone. She was offered many little treats by the waiters.

By the end we had really enjoyed the meal, the decor in here is fab, especially the ceiling and bar!
