Our family (my wife and I and 4 kids aged 10 through 15) visited Skagway a few days ago. Wow! What an amazing visit. Sherry is the real deal. She was born in Nome, Alaska and moved to Skagway when she was a young girl. Sherry is even featured on a mural in downtown Skagway! Her family owns a beautiful retail store in Skagway and we were fortunate enough to meet her father after the tour. The tour itself could not have been better! We were SO comfortable in her custom van - unbelievable - leather seats, clean, she narrated the trip up to the Yukon territory and the microphone and speak were perfect - easy to hear, not too loud or quiet, etc. We made several stops along the way for photos (she is even a great photographer!). We saw mountain goats, black bear, eagles, etc. We also enjoyed a nice lunch in Carcross. Overall, it was a wonderful tour and we really felt like we got to know Skagway and the surrounding area and the history of the area. It is the opposite of a big bus full of tourists. We felt very nimble to do what we wanted to do, under Sherry's guidance. We all loved Sherry and miss her laugh already! Thank you, Sherry, for making our family vacation extra special!
