Was there for breakfast with my girlfriend. Breakfast sandwich was actually very nice even being premade. Was a little shocked with a $3.15 charge for two Calgary free refills when we were the only patrons at the cafe in the morning. Coffee was being poured before I was informed of the charge.

Pick your poison because it was a nice getaway from the cruisers in Skagway.

Dear David,

Thank you so much for your comment as we are always looking to improve our service here at Lil' Log Cabin Bakery. I am sorry you were shocked by a refill charge. As to why we charge for a refill is this: we are the only place in town that offers in-house roasted coffee. The coffee is not only shipped "green" from fair trade growers in Central America, but also roasted in house by a local gentleman who specializes in coffee production. Labor and shipping for such a treat forces us to charge for refills in order to still compete with the general Skagway coffee market. We offer a 12oz cup for $3.00 + tax and a refill for the 12oz for $1.50 + tax, we also percolate our coffee which is something you can not find in Skagway. Again, thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you again on your next visit to Skagway, AK.

Sincerely,
Lil' Log Cabin Bakery

I had a long trip to get here, but it was worth it because this place makes great sandwiches for lunch. They have baked goods and the bakery is attached to a small grocery store, but you would be visiting for lunch.

There are many good places to eat in Skagway but this place really raises the bar. The best ingredients, homemade fresh bread, and amazing little doughnuts!! I've never been disappointed with anything I've tried. Favorites include PB&JDot, rich sweet and savory. The Art House Grinder, tangy fresh and filling. Get some homemade potato chips to round out the meal too. Also their Daily specials are always great!
