“What a find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2013

This is a little gem of a place. The house is secluded and very peaceful but within in easy walking distance of all that Provins has to offer. Francine and Jean- Jacques are friendly, wonderful and interesting hosts and could not do enough for us. We met our son and his wife (who live in the middle east) in France and as le Clos de Provins has only two guest rooms it felt like home from home especially with their two friendly well behaved dogs and the cat! The bedrooms are spacious, peaceful and have beautful antique furniture. The bathrooms are modern and spotless with bathrobes and all the toiletries you could possibly need. Francine has very high standards - the linen is beautiful and the breakfasts delicious. A bonus is that it is excellent value!

Be sure to stay here when you visit Provins! The house and garden are charming, the bedroom spacious and beautifully furnished, and the spirit of warm hospitality could not be equaled. We are looking forward to another visit as soon as possible. Francine and Jean-Jacques are wonderful hosts; be sure to have plenty of room for the stunning breakfast, with freshly-baked croissants and rolls, delicious fruits and coffee, and on and on. You will find a sense of peace and many moments of pleasure in this unique spot.

My husband & I spent a night at Clos de Provins on September 22nd and we were delighted! A beautiful home with a lovely garden. The room was perfect with a very comfortable bed and let's not forget about the breakfast! It was delicious! We hope to get to stay there again someday. Francine was a lovely hostess and we also had the pleasure of meeting her husband and grandchildren.
Provins is an amazing town. We want to go back, since we really only had one day to visit. It's definitively been added to the list for next time.

This is a lovely B&B very close to the tower and Collegiate church. Once you are parked in the courtyard, it is easy walking to the downtown pedestrian area. When you arrive, you will need to ring for entrance. Streets are narrow; you may have to go a little beyond the gate and turn to go back for a good entry into the courtyard. The gate stays locked, so you feel very secure.
The owner of the B&B (Francine) speaks very little English; however, she was extremely obliging in her endeavor to communicate with us. (It was helpful having an app to translate.) Our room was the Romantic Room. Lovely, clean and full of amenities. Breakfast was delightful and elegant. Fresh fruit, fresh bread, eggs, and more -- and plenty of coffee. This was an excellent place to stop for the night (in route to the Normandy Coast) and allowed us to easily see the old town of Provins.
We would definitely like a return visit!

We spent the night at the Clos de Provins while exploring the medieval city of Provins. The hosts were so kind and helpful to us and the house is very well located to the town so that we walked everywhere easily. The room was very well appointed and comfortable and quiet as well as being one of the cleanest guest rooms I have ever stayed in. We stayed here with our three year old son and really enjoyed the fabulous breakfast in the morning. Our son loved playing in the little playground in the back yard and adored their big kind dog. We made sure to catch the Legends of the Chevaliers as well as the Eagle Spectacular near the ramparts- wonderful shows daily around 2:30 or 3:30 pm depending on which one you want to see. I would recommend reserving the bigger room and the adjoining child's room if you are traveling with kids, very convenient. There is excellent free Wi-fi throughout the house.

The Clos de Provins is a perfectly comfortable and beautifully decorated home, and Francine is delighted to help with any information about the town. The best breakfast ever, homemade jam to chocolate cake to fruit salad. In town, don't miss the Legends of the Chevaliers show (though it is in French, it's easy to follow the action!).
