Wow! That was my reaction when I stepped into my suite. It was gorgeous. I enjoyed the wine hour, restaurant and the bar. Also free Starbucks coffee in the morning. The location was great and I was able to walk to most places. The concierge had some great suggestions. My only very minor complaint is hearing my next door neighbors.

Thanks so much and Wow! I love your review. Appreciate that. Those Monte Carlo suites are great and really make a stay special, having all that extra room really makes your stay a little better. we have 28 of those Monte Carlo suties and they definately are worth the little extra cash. Come back and give Sazerac a try, bet you will go with a double Wow after dinner in the dining room!

Over $500 per night I expected so much more - the rooms were average, no in room coffee maker in the home of Starbucks ... Really ? House keeping did not make up our room despite us being gone all day till 2 pm. Had to pay for wifi - not very customer friendly at these prices. The management here needs to pay attention to the details at these prices

Thanks for your notes, I am sorry that the demand for guest rooms in the city over the time you were here made the prices higher than we would normally see. A couple of notes, wifi is free as soon as you sign up for kimpton in touch programs - which means adding your email when you log on, coffee maker sure, just ask for one at the desk and we will deliver it for you, and we make up rooms like every other hotel from 9 am to 5 pm, just let us know when you would like yours done! Sorry we couldnt connect all the dots for you, we are out here to make your stay better, you need it, just ask - we likely have it!

We were unsure which Kimpton to book in Seattle, since we had never stayed in one there. We definitely selected the right one. Wonderful front desk service, close to tourist attractions and restaurants. The room was excellent: well equipped, quiet and comfortable.

Thanks JB, actually you would have been delighted with any of the Kimptons we have here in the Emerald City, all are great. Thanks so much for the nice notes, Sazerac is a dynamite addition to the hotel and one order of the roast chicken could change your life! Come back soon.

This is a very stylish place and very well located. Major attractions are nearby, including the monorail, ferries, pike place market and more. The hotel is pretty expensive - and so is the breakfast in the restaurant - we e. g. never had a more expensive valet parking - but you get what you expect for the money: large rooms, comfy beds, stylish ambiente and quality, from the staff to the food.
Our room had a little goldfish which we found somewhat odd, as an animal is not a piece of furniture. The hotel might rethink that. All in all: big money, big quality.

Thanks Thomas, delighted you found us fantastic and stylish, lets leave that last adjective alone.
Parking in the downtown core, costs that much for secure, underground lot with unlimited in and out and valet from our handsome valet staff. The goldfish program is a Kimpton standard, they bring a million smiles to guests, and are treated like members of our family, never hesitate to have someone pick one up if you dont want them staring at you. Come back soon and wander up the street to the Vintage Hotel and give Tulio a try, it will change your vision of Italian food forever!

Great stay restaurant is wonderful. Great service and location. The lobby and shared areas are tastefully decorated. Our room was completely decorated with stylish wallpaper but not overdone.
Must try restaurant!

Hey Canada, we love our neighbors to the North, and always delighted when you visit us! we had a Kimpton hotel in Vancouver once but alas it was turned into condos - imagine that a condo tower in Vancouver! so glad you note Sazerac, the happy hour menu there is where it all started in the city and the dinner menu has halibut to steak to catfish - you can eat there 7 days a week and never get bored! Come back soon and give it a try.

This is a great hotel. There is not much to complain about. The staff was extremely friendly and really made us feel at home. The goldfish in the room for the kids was a nice touch, and the wine social in the lobby in the evening creates a really friendly atmosphere. I took a look at the conference rooms and this would be a good place to have a medium sized group meeting or conference. The fitness center is adequate and has up to date equipment with a clean atmosphere and all the essential equipment to get a workout in.
The only flaw that I could bring up is that it may be slightly overpriced for the level of quality of the amenities, view, and other special things that a very high end hotel must have. The rooms are equipped with everything you need, just nothing fancy (no oversized tub or tub with jets, small bathroom space, single sink vanity, not a lot of extra space in the room, etc.)
What it is lacking is nothing you would ever complain about, but when we stayed, we paid nearly $500 per night, which I expect to be bordering on luxury. Maybe this is a commentary on hotel prices in Seattle near Pike Place Market in the summer, or maybe this is a dressed up 3 1/2 star hotel with great service that can barely pass charging 4 1/2 star rates. I'm not sure. However, if you are expecting the Ritz or Four Seasons or other typical high-end type hotel, this is not that.
I do not want to knock this hotel, because we really did have a wonderful experience and it truly is doing the best it can with the bones that its staff has been given.
One note is that it is worth it to join the Kimpton rewards program, even if you don't plan on staying at more than just one stay at this or any other Kimpton hotel. They have good free high speed wifi that comes as a reward and a few other things that make it worth it.
Overall, I think this merits a solid 4 star rating. However, without the service and little extras they provide it would be hovering in the 3 - 3 1/2 star range.

Thanks for the great note, wow, that was a lot of writing. You managed to arrive here when there was a giant convention in the city and rooms were at a premium, its like Waikiki at Christmas, you can always check out those great rates and specials on our web site so you know what you are getting into, kimptonhotels. com will give you all the info on the hotel, specials and what is happening in the world of Kimpton. btw if we were at $500 then you can imagine the four seasons were charging $1000, its all relative. Anyway, great comments, glad you had some fun, come back soon after you check out the special rates we seem to offer all the time.

I stayed here for four nights in July. The hotel was chic and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally nice. The location was great, within walking distance of everything down along the water and the Pike Place Market. The food at the restaurant was good, and the atmosphere was nice. The turndown service and chocolates each night were nice, although I wish they had chocolates that didn't have a hint of fruit to them!

(As a pointer, if you are traveling relatively light, the light rail stops only a couple of blocks away and it was very easy to take it into downtown and then walk to this hotel.)

I really cannot think of anything they could have improved upon during my stay. They were just exceptional, as usual from a Kimpton property. I will absolutely stay here again in the future.

One final comment: Before I arrived, I had some difficulty in communications with one of the hotel staff regarding my reservation. When I made the general manager, Tom Waite, aware of my issue, he promptly took care of it -- within a matter of minutes. He was polite, friendly, and helpful. His response and help alone would cause me to return to this property.

Hey Texas, thanks for the great notes on Kimpton hotels. We spend a great deal of time trying to be different from all the beige hotels in the world and you certainly noted that here in your comments. You are right, what a great tip - the light rail from the airport is only about $3 and stops a block away from the hotel, unfortunately it is up a nasty hill so word of caution! Our location is one of the great assets of the hotel, we are just far enough away from the crazieness of the Market but close enough to walk there in 10 minutes for breakfast. (unless you want to go to Sazerac for Eggs in Hell, which is my preference). This guy Tom Waithe seems like a brilliant chap, hope he gets a raise based on your comments! Come back soon!
