After 14 hours of travelling from Europa we arrived on a sunny Sunday afternoon on 8th of June 2014 at the Warwick hotel. We had reserved 2 rooms. Our room was on the fourth floor and had a nice view on a blind wall the other room was on the 12th floor with view on the bay and the space Needle. Of course we didn’t like the view on the 4th floor and asked also for a room on the 12th floor, because the hotel was far from fully booked. The employee at the desk said that this was not possible but transferred us to the other side of the hotel on the 4th floor with street view. It didn’t fell as a warm welcome to the USA. We travelled by car and stayed 2 nights. For each night you pay € 35.—for parking (incl. taxes) which feels of course as a total rip off, but it also applies for other hotels in Seattle and also in Portland we had to pay € 28.—for one night. The fact that the Warwick hotel also charges for the use of Wifi, is quite unique, because it was the only time during our 3.5 weeks in the USA that it was not free. A little bit odd especially for a country like the USA.
Besides the facts that the swimming pool, Jacuzzi etc. were closed due to maintenance and that there could be some noise of maintenance (cleaning) of the outside wall of the hotel, we enjoyed our stay in Seattle, because luckily the hotel is located quite central and short walks lead to the waterfront, downtown and the space needle. Breakfast was served in a bistro next door to the hotel and was great which also applies to their employees.
So would we recommend this hotel? If feels a little bit overpriced, but the fact that if a hotel is far from fully booked you are put in a room with no view, while you just arrived in the USA, gave us the idea that they do not really care. Luckily this was the only exception during our stay in the USA.

Room Tip: At least 12th floor (north side) or above if you want a nice view. If you enjoy dark rooms, 4th floor (south side).

Thank you for your review. While it may not have seemed so to you, our hotel was extremely committed the night of your stay. We have half a dozen rooms in the building that have the garage wall and only rent those when we are near capacity and only to those who have rented that specific room type – which you had done as it is our least expensive room type.

I do wish you had enjoyed your stay more as your experience is very important to us. It was pleasing to see that the team tried to help by moving your room to the other side of the same floor, although I do know this caused someone else to have to be moved from that side to the side you just vacated due to our occupancy level. We were not in a situation where we had extra rooms sitting vacant.

Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your feedback. Please have continued safe travels.

A friend and I stayed at this hotel in June. We picked it based solely on location and value. When we arrived, it looked kind of dumpy from the outside (dated mainly), but I was pleasantly surprised when we got up to the room. We had a great view of the space needle from the 17th floor and the room was spacious - large living area, desk space, coffee maker/small fridge, decent size bathroom. The hotel was clean and fairly quiet. We didn't try the restaurant - there are plenty of good options close by. It took about 10 minutes to walk to Pike Place Market and other downtown attractions. Don't walk down 3rd Ave if you want to avoid the homeless crowd that hangs out near the bus stop. The walk to the water & downtown is much more pleasant if you take Lenora to 1st.

Room Tip: Didn't pay for the upgrade to get a good view, ended up getting it for free upon check-in.

I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and I thank you for your candidness with the exterior of the hotel. I am pleased to inform you that we actually just finished cleaning and painting the exterior so it looks fresh again. We are also in the planning stages to replace all of the exterior signage and marquee to fully eliminate any dated look.

Thank you for staying at Warwick Seattle Hotel. Please travel safe and come see us again the next time you are in Seattle.

Great in city hotel choice. Probably low on the prestige scale but turned out to be a great room with a beautiful view in a great location at a reasonable price. I travel to Seattle often & the Warwick will definitely be only my list of good options for the future.

It's been a while since I stayed here, and there have been vast improvements. I remember the rooms as dark and small, and now they are airey light and of very good size.
The Front desk manager Mr Orvell was so kind and patient and helpful, not just to me to everyone. The concierge and the bellman also.
The restaurant is great, good selection of food and good coffee, location perfect. I have stayed in many hotels in Seattle over the years and this is definitely the tops for me

Room Tip: rooms with views are just lovely if you can get them, especially looking out onto the Space Needle

Stayed here 4 nights before Alaskan cruise. After reading various reports on TA we were apprehensive at staying here and were not expecting too much as some reviews had said it was nothing to write home about and average. Once we arrived our apprehensions quickly disappeared. After a long haul trans Atlantic flight we were warmly greeted and quickly checked in within minutes. Staff very friendly and helpful. On reaching our room on 12th floor we found we had magnificent view of space needle. We were celebrating my partner's 40th birthday and there was complimentary champagne and macaroon bites in our room on arrival so nice personal touch there. We had got wi-if included in our package from our travel agent and signal was good. Room very spacious and spotlessly clean, coffee/tea making facilities, fully stocked mini bar (if required), fridge, air con, bathroom with full sized bath and shower over bath and full set of toiletries provided. Bed and pillows extremely comfy. No complaints would highly recommend. A massive Thank you to all the staff who contributed to our 4 night stay at the start of our trip of a lifetime.

Room Tip: Request a room with a view of Space Needle - we did
