This hotel is 'tired' and our room felt dirty. Carpets were stained and some walls were peeling. Decor is old. Shower had mold. It is downtown so was noisy at night. The hotel is not air conditioned. Parking is about 2 blocks away - $60ish for 2 nights.
The best part about this hotel is it's location

Yes, the location is great. And comparatively, the price is right. But if you are looking for a deal, try one of the hostels. This place was really gross, as in dirty. Also, in a 24 hr time span the hot water went out, the elevator broke (we were on the 10th floor), the 1 ice machine was out of order, and there was a horrible smell in and around our room (I'm guessing from mold in the carpet, which looked like it was a century old like the building). The front desk guy was nice, but basically had to spend his day taking complaints with no power to do anything. Wish I had checked trip advisor before booking.

You get what you pay for and this may not be the best place we have stayed but some of the comments and pictures are misleading. It is in need of a refurb, curtains and carpets are dingy, but towels and sheets are clean and white. The bed was comfy and we even had nice soap and shampoo. No extras though, slow lift, no hairdryer, no fans or air conditioning. However the staff were very friendly and helpful, the downtown situation is excellent. You don`t spend much time in your room in a city so take your choice.

Room Tip: Maybe a good idea to view the room before you commit.

There are seriously too many, too bad complaints about this hotel! If you compare the price for other hotels in the same location, then you cannot expect too much. I tend towards more luxury hotels, but we just needed a 2 bed room for the night close to the Victoria Clipper ferry. My friend found that she had booked the wrong day (we arrived a day earlier than our booking). She called the hotel and they changed it, without any fuss or extra charge. You wouldn't get that everywhere! The man at reception was very pleasant, if a little quirky. We were amused by the old, tatty lift, the shabby decor, the real old-style key for the room, old TV, curtains that were falling off the rail, sheets & blankets etc etc. But it was all clean. Wifi only in the lobby - for free. Really nothing to complain about and cannot compare it to the good hotels that are around twice the price. I'd go back for an overnight, but not a family vacation. Rating this a very good, based on value for money.

Seriously, how is this place allowed to stay open? Old, dingy, dirty. Showering is a real treat, warm, scalding, and cold all without touching the faucet!! No help from the front desk to print boarding passes for flights, I was sent 4 blocks away to the publice library! It was safer than sleeping in the alley across the street, and it kept the rain off my head. If my wife was with me we would not have been staying!!! When I'm in town again, I won't be staying here.

Ignore the bad reviews - the staff are friendly if you are and it's in a great location!

It's a two star hotel in a five star location for just over 109/night in Seattle - no, it doesn't have marble showers (they are clean - and housekeeping has a great sense of humor) or wine hour, or even a mini bar for that matter.

But if you only need a place to crash and don't want to spend a lot, you can't beat the price.

Think of it like staying with your not so affluent old aunt - it's kind of like that - right down to the floral prints!

Staff were very helpful but it is obvious the owners of the hotel have no interest in putting any money into the place and are just waiting till it is condemned. Tv's don't work and if the do, the remote controls don't. Not sure how clean they were because I preferred not to look but heh you get what you pay for. The location is awesome. Would I stay there again.....no!
