“Great views and excellent staff!”
Reviewed 8 November 2012

I am a little biased here. I stayed in an executive suite and the room and view were great! I was concerned at first because our room was literally right next to the elevator, but surprisingly the room was very well insulated against any outside noise so there was no nuisance factor. A view of the cascades is nice, but a view of the Space Needle is even better. ;) I've stayed in both and prefer the latter.

Walking distance t oeverything if you're in shape. But hey, that's Seattle. If you can't walk up and down hills then don't try because the hills in Seattle can be steep. This place is just 7 blocks from the waterfront (Ivar's is a must) 4 blocks from all sorts of shopping in every direction (Pacific Place, City Centre, Nordstrom's, North Face, Columbia, and many more). The monorail is just 4 blocks away so the Space needle and Convention Center is very accessible too!

The continental breakfast was fresh and well stocked. Nice selction too. The Pancake machine was broken though :( Drinks and refreshments at dinner time as well :) Remember this was a benefit of the executive suites though. The Regatta on the 2nd floor was good too.

The staff was very professional and the turndown service was great!

I will definitely stay here again and again.

Dear Seahawksman,
Thank you for taking the time to share your comments concerning your stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Seattle. We are glad to read you enjoyed the executive suite and the wonderful views from the guestroom. Seattle is a great walking city and our central location affords us an excellent proximity to the best restaurants, shopping and city landmarks. As a general rule of Seattle the hills go east/west. While north/south is more typically fairly flat. Sections of Seneca are steep, so if you are heading down to the waterfront or the Pike Place Market we recommend walking north on 6th avenue then turn west when you reach Pike, which has the least incline. We appreciate your business and are delighted you would definitely stay here again and again.
All the Best,
Cristy Smith

I was at the Crown Plaza for business and loved it. It may seem expensive but I am sure that it is within the same range as any other higher end hotel in the area. Breakfast buffet was ok. Rooms were cleaned by excellent housekeeping staff! Don't forget to tip those ladies. All staff, from the front desk, housekeeping waiters, waitresses, valet etc were great. Location is uphill around the hotel so some people my find that walking is somewhat difficult. Sometimes waiting at the long light to cross the road can be dangerous. Cars travel quite fast coming off the highway. This area can be a blind spot to tourists if they are not careful. All in all, my experience with this hotel was great. kudo to the Crown Plaza

Dear Gary H,
Thank you for sharing your comments regarding your stay with us in June. We are pleased to read you found the room clean and the staff great. Seattle terrain is hilly and green. The seven hills of Seattle is an unofficial designation of several hills that historians claim the city of Seattle was built on and around. We appreciate your business and hope to serve you again.

We are at the Crowne Plaza right now, and are just loving it! The room is clean, quiet and has a very comfortable bed. The location is very convenient and the rates are reasonable. The food we have had at the hotel has also exceeded my expectations. The main thing that makes this hotel stand out is the people. Everyone, from the concierge, to the front desk, to the restaurant and bar staff has gone out of their way to make our visit wonderful! They are over the top and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seattle.

In Seattle to attend a conference but even overflow hotels were booked up. The Crown Plaza is conveniently located to so many things. It's only a 5 block walk to the Washington State Convention Center, a $5 cab ride to the Pike Place Market, 3 blocks from a mall and hundreds of restaurants. I got an amazing rate compared to other hotels nearby, complimentary wi fi and a nicely appointed and spacious room. I have complimentary breakfast buffet all week with gratuity included. The selections were amazing and I started my day with a full stomach, wanting for nothing.
I'll be back for the same conference next year. I'll stay here at the Crowne Plaza, no questions asked.

Room Tip: Request a room on a higher floor, some of the views are amazing.

This hotel was a great location. Short cab ride away from anything tourist related. My complaint is it was VERY noisy. We were on the 11th floor right next to the elevator. The problem was not the elevator noise, but the fact that you can hear every single word some says while they are waiting for the extremely slow elevator. The walls are paper thin.... The hotel room was nice and clean and the service was great, but the noise from the hallways is the reason we will not return.

Room Tip: Get a room far away from the elevators!!!!

Dear Sarah H,
Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay with us. We are glad you found the location great, room nice and clean, and the service great. It was disappointing to read about the noise issues you experienced. We are working on ways to mitigate the noise transfer that occurs into some of the rooms. Thank you again for your comments.

Average hotel close to the Convention Center. For the same price, you can stay at a much nicer hotel like the Hotel Edgewater or Hotel Sorrento, which is actually $20 a night cheaper.

The hotel reminds me of a Holiday Inn Express, not much of a lobby, and very generic. The staff is average, the room was average, all the hotel room doors on my floor were scuffed up, they could use a serious paint job.

If it's a short business stay it will be fine. If you're on a family holiday or romantic trip, I would stay somewhere else.

My room was a decent size for a urban hotel and was clean. The room has been refreshed recently but has a generic hotel look. Neither breakfast nor internet are included in the room rate even though hotels at the same price point do offer free internet. There are very few rooms on each floor so the elevators invariably make a lot of stops. Although there's a Subway next door and several other hotels within several blocks, there aren't many restaurants or bars in the immediate area.
