“Hotel-o.k. Location-good Customer Service-excellent!”

We ended up at the Marqueen by way of Priceline and when I first read about it I was not impressed as I dont typically like old hotels but it ended up being good. The hotel as stated is an old apartment building so most of the rooms are full suites meaning they are very spacious and would be great for long stays. The bed was really comfy and the flatscreen tv was brand new. The only drawback was the incredibly creaky hardwood floor and the leak in the shower's plumbing. The location of the hotel is great! Its not quite downtown but its close. Its a stone's throw from The Space Needle and Seattle Center and the neighborhood of Lower Queen Anne is safe, fun, and has alot to do within a block of the hotel including several great restaurants! I would much rather be here at night than downtown and I say this having lived in Seattle for 6 years. From the time we arrived the guys at the desk and the valet were great, really down to earth friendly people that were helpful with anything we asked for or about. They really should however, do something about the WIFI, its free but you can barely pick up the signal. All things considered, we would stay here again if the price is right.

The staff here are so pleasant and helpful. Large rooms with kitchens, great for extended stays. Great Restaurants and bars, across the street. Super walkable neighborhood, great for morning runs ! Enjoyed the daily breakfast and relaxing afternoons in the lounge after full days in the city. Had a surprisingly delightful afternoon in the on property spa, treatments were a joy !

Room Tip: If you don't 'do' stairs request ground floor

Cables running along walls, worn floors, chipped paint, and funky smell. The staff was great, and the bar was cool. It is way over priced. It has a lot of potential if it was updated. The rooms are large and is in a good location. For a little more, you could be in a nice hotel downtown. Unless renovated, won't be back.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at the Marqueen. We needed our boarding passes printed and the front desk staff offered to do this for us, without it costing us a cent. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a surprise inclusion and very nice too. I certainly recommend the Marqueen for anyone wanting a great place to stay in Seattle (and within an easy walk to the Space Needle and the Chihuly gallery, both of which are a must!!)

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking towards the water.

Stayed here on the bookends of climbing mount rainier with alpine ascents. They are located down the street so they have a deal. The rooms are quite big but have old wood floors that retain the smell of everything that ever set foot in the place.

The showers are old style tubs with handles that are hard to adjust and rusted out.

Slept well considering we were first getting ready to climb then at the completion of the climb but wouldn't stay there again unless we were using alpine.

The hotel was located in a lively, safe neighborhood. We walked to City Center (Space Needle, etc.) daily. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, and they certainly made up for what was lacking with the accommodations. The hotel has an interesting history, but I wouldn't stay there again. It was very dated, and I felt like we were staying in a creepy old apartment (which, in fact, we were). I also booked the room for 4 people, but all we got was a king sized bed and a twin sized pull-out sofa. The complimentary breakfast was decent. Watch out for parking- there is very little on the street! Finally, there is no elevator.

Room Tip: Our room was on the third floor in the back so we had a view of the Space Needle!

I thought it was kind of spooky. This might be more of a family hotel and I was in Seattle on business. The whole ambiance reminded me of the Shining. They had a little continental thing for breakfast. That was cool. Near some really good restaurants. I'm a fan of Vietnamese food, and there was a good one around the corner.

The staff really made up for the tired, spooky feeling of the hotel. They were friendly and knowledgeable. They pointed out the good restaurants. Good stuff - that took it from 3 stars to 4!
