The location is right downtown. One could walk there from the new Seattle light rail system provided you walked out the right door of the terminal! The rooms are right on the street and they do tend to be a tad noisy but not as bad as they could be. I had a corner room which are good sized but the bathrooms are downright tiny. The bellmen were ever so much fun.

The Mayflower is a great hotel, and I'd definitely stay there again. Very clean, nice staff, very low key. The location could not have been better, close to great restaurants, shopping, two movie theatres and the station for the train to the airport. The bed was comfy. My only minor complaint was the walls in my room were a little thin, so I could hear conversations next door pretty well. Luckily I had quiet and considerate neighbors for every night, except one.

I love the Mayflower. Even though I don't get any kind of frequent traveler points, I love staying here. The staff is so nice - with manners and a level of service and pride that is hard to find, even in some nicer hotels where I have stayed. The location is great if you want to take the Light Link rail into downtown from the airport (which is a great inexpensive option over taking a cab as long as you don't mind a lot of walking). The hotel is about a block from the Westlake Station. Some of the rooms are a little on the small side, and yes the hotel is old. But I see a welcome attention to cleanliness and I've never smelled a musty smell as some have described. I also love that they have kept the original bathtubs in the bathrooms. They bathrooms are also small and are probably a tight fit for larger people, but I love the deep tubs where you can actually take a nice soak. Also, they have nice bath amenities that are dispensed from larger bottles mounted in the shower and next to the sink. So if you really want to add to your collection of tiny bath supplies, you will be out of luck - but I like the economy of this choice. The comfy robes in each room are a bonus.

I would be hard-pressed to find a better choice than the Mayflower!

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side get great sunlight during the day and have a nice view (above the 5th floor).

What a great Hotel. Staff was great. Doorman really fun and helpful. Reminiscent of the old classic hotels. The room had two double beds and two baths. Our room looked out at the Space Needle and had a window you could really open to hear the urban sounds of the city. Nice bar/restaurant in hotel but was not serving food after nine pm on weekdays but found out a PF Changs is only two storefronts away and open late. Will return again.

Room Tip: They will accomodate you just let them know your needs
