“Charming boutique hotel downtown”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2013

Charming, elegant boutique hotel, they upgraded my room, such a shame to be there only one night. Price seemed good for downtown Seattle. Delicious breakfast at Andaluca. We didn't rent a car, just took cabs and walked, worked out well.

It is always so pleasant to stay in this lovely old hotel. Well maintained, well appointed. We particularly enjoy the ambiance, service and excellent food (both appies and light meals) at Oliver's, the lobby bar. A little surprised at the price of parking and the additional taxes.

Room Tip: The double queen rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are a little small.

We stayed at the Mayflower Park twice during our Washington State visit, for three nights on arrival at Seattle to start our trip and for two nights before flying out four weeks later. The staff could not have been more helpful (especially the two concierge) and receptionists too. The bar was very expensive for a couple of drinks and we ate out each evening, thanks to advice from the concierge on where to try to suit our tastes and budget. The hotel is very well placed to walk along the market, and to catch the elevated railway to the Space Needle (well worth visiting the restaurant at the top!), and also to get to the waterfront market and the airport. I will use this hotel again when I revisit Seattle.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Location is ideal as it is half a block away from the monorail and about 3 blocks away from Pike Market. Room was very clean. There isn't any parking so you'll have to use the valet service at $35 a day. The only issue was that there were loud guests staying in the adjacent room and because it was an older building the walls were not sound proof, although this isn't any fault of the staff. I would say again when visiting Seattle.

While at a conference I stayed here for 3 nights and it was ideal for me. Location was key and that was perfect. Near public transport, stores, restaurants etc. My room was very big and very comfortable. Big good mattress and nice bathroom. Had views across the Seattle business skyline which was nice at night. Great staff who are very efficient at what they do and made me feel welcome. Great place to stay.

How nice to stay in a lovely, non-chain hotel. It's easy walking distance to Pike Place and the central shopping area. The elegant lobby area made it feel like a special treat to be staying there. Room was spotless and service was friendly and helpful.

Excelent classic hotel. 80 years old. But just perfectly located. Its 3 blocks away from the Pike Place Market and in the core of the shopping area. Small rooms, but nice. You dont need more, and fares are great!
