I was here on business and it was the perfect hotel for my purposes. Location was excellent and it was a short walk to the great sights of Seattle. Very close to transportation to the Needle and the Dali Museum. Also a short walk to Pike's Place. Small rooms but lots of character. It had a desk and comfortable bed and as at a single traveler on business that was all I needed. Also shopping close by which was nice.

Room Tip: I got one higher up so noise was not an issue.

I wanted my daughters birthday to be special, and we both love visiting haunted places. Do not book here if that is what you want...the internet says it's haunted, but the staff all say that is a hoax. Didn't know that when I booked. Rooms are VERY small, but nice.

Having booked this hotel without any previous knowledge I have to admit it is exactly what I needed. Clean and comfortable, exceptionally friendly checkin by David Hernandez at the front desk who was courteous and knowledgeable. My early arrival due to a flight change was no problem, the room was ready with plush towels and high quality toiletries.

The size of the TV screen was a bit smaller than I was expecting, but I really didnt mind since the comfortable bed and upgraded linens enticed me into a peaceful nap. Keep in mind, this is an older hotel, the rooms are not huge, especially the bathroom. But I love character, and as long as it is functional and clean, I am happy.

Lastly, I will say you MUST visit Oliver's, the bar off the lobby. Matt is a true gem, engaging personality, sincerely welcoming, and his cocktails are as good or better than you will find in 4 Star hotel in New York or San Francisco, Top Notch!

We stayed at this hotel originally for the great location being right in the middle of downtown near the mall, but the hotel was nicer than we were expecting with great views, very clean and helpful staff. Definently will stay here again

Great rooms, great staff, great location! What more can you ask for? The hotel itself was very nice: vintage, but all mod cons. It was roomy, clean and comfortable. The staff was attentive and helpful. I felt very safe in this location: there were people out and about most of the evening, a police presence and even "downtown ambassadors" walking around to answer questions and solve potential problems. Also, it is an easy light rail trip from the airport to a block away from the hotel. Great!

In Seattle for a 2 day conference at the Washington State Conference Center (across Pike from larger Convention Center), a friend suggested this property as one she prefers in downtown. And what a location!!! I flew into Seatac airport, shuffled out threw the parking garage and to the Light Rail Terminal where for $.75 I bought passage to Westlake station. From the station it is less than a block walk to the Hotel side door. Time from plane door open to hotel desk: 45 minutes. The staff is amazingly attentive, and they upgraded me to a 12th floor (top) corner suite. Lovely room with comfortable well maintained period furniture, and PLENTY of outlets to recharge stuff, and high speed internet that works well. Morning paper at every door daily. Arrival packet with maps, coupons and such. Shopping? One can see Macys, nordstroms from hotel(not same window) and hotel is in Westlake Mall complex and 2 blocks from Pacific Place Mall (back door). Monorail station around corner, and Pike Pl Market 3 blks. Quiet, very clean, good beds, lovely bath stuff, great coffee in room, and lively bar scene off very cozy and homey lobby. Desk staff actually remembers your name and where they gave you directions too. Reminds me of the way destination city Hotels were in the 1960's. Andaluca restaurant very nice with lots of hotel and outside diners. Return trip on lite rail: Hotel door to airport security in 42 minutes. Be sure that you use the 3rd/Pine entrance in and out of the Westlake Station which is a little less than a block from the hotel side entrance. There are other ways out of the station which could give you a long walk. Pays to orient.

Room Tip: Ask for corner suite, and high floor (12 is top). Large with living room separated by sliding doors...

I haven't been inside the Mayflower park since the early 80's when my then girlfriends parents from Bellingham would stay her when they visited Seattle. I will give it a "thumbs up" on my return visit..
Courtney at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming upon my arrival. She even called me 30 minutes later to see of everything was OK. It was. :-)
The room is a bit on the small side, but well furnished. Desk, easy chair, queen bed...very comfortable and functional. The bathroom is nice and while not being large, is not too small.
The location of the hotel is very nice. One block to Westlake Center, two blocks to the Light rail, four blocks to Pike Street Market, six blocks to the Paramount. Great location!
I stayed on the 11th floor... very quiet...no complaints.
