This is a terrific boutique hotel that is very convenient to a number of key places such as the Pike Market, Waterfront, Space Needle and the Music Experience. The staff are very professional and the rooms are well appointed but small. One tip, ask for an upper floor as it is located right downtown and thus has a fair amount of street noise.

There is a very good restaurant and lounge. The restaurant is open all day and serves a good variety of breakfasts and the wait staff is very pleasant. The lounge serves a limited, but innovative lunch menu. Well worth checking out. I did not eat dinner as there are so many good restaurants in the area for dinner.

Mayflower Park is not part of a national chain, if you are looking for a little charm and great service at one of the more reasonable price points downtown, you can't go wrong.

One final note, especially for those traveling with kids, since the legalization of marijuana, it appears as though Seattle has a tourism campaign to attract those that partake. There is open pot smoking on the street and even a Cannibus mobile pot lounge to see the sites. If you have concerns, just be forewarned.

We didn’t have the best of starts. The hotel was at capacity, and we arrived moderately late in the evening. The room we were offered was stale and smelt (to us) of tobacco smoke; the only other possibility overlooked the heating system with fans whirring, continuously and audibly, directly outside. We settled for the former - the discussions with the clerk were conducted in an acceptable way and there was clearly little he could do. He offered us breakfast for the next day and we accepted. They must have worked on the room when we went out the next day because it was much better on our return.
Apart from the above, we really have no complaints about the hotel. The staff with whom we had contact were uniformly obliging, helpful and pleasant, and we were very happy with our stay.
Good points. Excellent staff. Convenient position close to the terminus of the rail link to the airport, the shopping area, the monorail to Seattle Center and within easy walking distance of Pike Place Market. Facilities in the room were good.
Bad points. None worth mentioning.
Would I stay there again? Yes.

We came to the Mayflower for our honeymoon and were pleasantly surprised. We chose it because of it's location - walking distance to shopping, Pike's market, Seattle Art Museum, Underground Tour, and Chihuly museum / Space Needle / EMP. It is also the oldest continously operating hotel in Seattle and we enjoyed the character the building offered. The room was adequately sized but what we really appreciated was the service. We received a knock on the door to be given chocolate and a card signed by all the staff- what a nice touch!
Would highly recommend it for lovers, travellers, and those who enjoy something other than the generic chain hotels.

Enjoyed a recent stay at the Mayflower Park Hotel in Seattle. Staff was very professional in particular the front desk. On recent stay arrived early in the morning and my room was ready prior to the usual check-in time later in the afternoon. Room was well appointed and quiet. Nice linens and comfortable bed. Restaurant and bar were also excellent. Nice central location close to shopping, sight seeing and transportation (light rail). Would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: I had a room on a higher floor and was very satisfied.

The hotel is in a great area, really close to Pike's Market, the Needle, the sea shore, and some great restaurants (all walking distance if you don't mind a few minutes). we stayed here for a business trip with just a bit of free time for exploration. The hotel has great character, it's an older one, but has been rennovated nicely for the most part. The issue when we were there was that the a/c went out on THE hottest stretch of the summer, and NO one let us know that at check-in. We discovered it from hotel guests on their way down in the elevator. Upon calling the front desk, we were told that it would be the next day that it would be fixed, and would we like a fan. Yes, of course, and it was brought up straight away. Why no one told us at at check-in, I'll never know. Next day, no a/c as of yet. Asked at the front desk, they said the main lobby a/c had been fixed, but that the unit that cooled rooms was to be later that day. No updates, nothing. Four day stay, NEVER did we get a/c. Really unfortunate. It probably would have been a moot point for me, as the room cooled at night, with the windows open to the fresh sea air--and as long as we drew our shades in the day time, it kept fairly cool. The meeting conference was in the basement meeting room of the hotel--our meeting organizer told us that all catered food was paid for, so to take whatever we wanted and ensure to take what was left at the end of the day. The second day, they took our breakfast away at 9am! The meeting started at 8, and we had a break at 10am with NO snacks. We had a diabetic in the group, so this was unfortunate. The meeting leader even approached the front desk to ask that our food be brough back, or additional food to be brought, which they said "Oh yes, of course!" And then never did bring it back. Staff was friendly enough, responsive, but no follow through and total lack of communication between whoever was taking guest requests and those who were to be processing them. Sad, it's a charming hotel in a great location.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mayflower. My only compliant / advise would be to put soft shutters on the doors to prevent guests being disturbed when a door unexpectedly and frequently slams shut.

I would recommend this hotel.

My daughter and I just got back from 4 days in Seattle where we stayed at The Mayflower Park Hotel in downtown Seattle and we loved it! the location was perfect for us as everything we wanted to do or get to was closeby! we were blocks from great shopping, restaurants, the Monorail and about 6 blocks to Pikes Market which was a highlight. A Seattle must-see!

The hotel itself is very pretty and cozy. Apparently it is one of the oldest hotels in Seattle but very well kept up and preserved. Customer service from front desk to the door staff to the cleaning staff was exceptional and very much appreciated! I really think it made the trip that more special . I would like to send a huge thankyou to the concierge, Kenton, who was a huge help to us everytime we spoke!! He was VERY helpful and always had a ton of information for us as well as being very friendly!!

I called the hotel a few weeks before we arrived to request room on the top floor as I am a very light sleeper and they put us on the top floor and I was thrilled! The room itself was very cozy and clean! The bed was very comfy and so was the bedding and pillows which is always a treat! The air conditioning was also appreciated as everyday was sunny and hot! There was lots of room for the two of us plus an in room safe for the passports!
We did not use the restaurants in the hotel but they looked great!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Mayflower and I would certainly stay at this hotel again and would certainly recommend it to anyone travelling to this fine city!
