Our group of 8 people booked a number of rooms and suites here for an event at the Convention Center. The location is very good as it's about 2 blocks from the Westlake light rail station, which goes to the airport for $2.75 (40 minutes). It's about 8 blocks from the convention center and the 10 minutes walk was not far. It is located in an area that has quite a few homeless people around but they seemed to mind their own business and do not bother people at all. It's also two blocks from the Pike market and a lot of good restaurants.

The staff are very nice. I communicated with the staff through e-mail to make changes of my itinerary. They are courteous, prompt, and competent. I couldn't asked anything more.

The hotel is located in a historical building that can't be upgraded with modern amenities such as air conditioning. However, Seattle is never too hot except for 2-3 weeks in July and August. The elevator was small but functioning and fast. No complains there.

The rooms is old but have good clean furniture. The bedding and bathroom are on the small side but very clean. If you've been to Europe, this is a typical city hotel in Paris or Munich.

The main complain, hence the 4/5, I had is the internet. When checked-in, we were told up-front that the WiFi is guaranteed to work only in the lobby. In fact, there's two additional access points located in the 6th floor that we can used in the room. They could've told us in the beginning.

To our group, the Internet is a very important part of the equation. One guy in our group actually said this would be the deal breaker here and he will not stay here.

Most of the others are quite happy as the price of the the hotel is about half to 40% of what you pay at the Sheraton and it's very clean.

Particularly, the suites are particularly good. We stayed in an adjoining room which is in fact two separate rooms with a shared bathroom in between (doors open to each room).

Overall, this is a very good hotel choice in Seattle for budget minded travelers. If you expect 4/5-star amenities (gym, pool, etc.), go elsewhere.

Room Tip: Suites are of great value, ask for internet password for access on higher floors.

We stayed at the Moore at the beginning and end of our trip to Canada, in different rooms each time. Both were equally clean and comfortable. There are excellent restaurants within a few blocks (The List and Local 360, and HopVine if you're willing to go as far as 15th). Robert at hotel reception was especially helpful in recommending places to eat and things to do. Don't waste your money on the big chain hotels!

Room Tip: Rooms on the Virginia Avenue side are quieter, at least now while there is a major construction project going on Second Avenue.

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay that doesn't break the bank, this is the place for you. As the other reviews state, it's nothing fancy, but it has a great location. I've stayed at The Moore many times over the past 10 years. The staff is always very helpful, and you are within walking distance of almost everything. It is also located on the edge of a Tom Douglas restaurant triangle, so you may feel yourself being sucked in the front door of Lola (a must for breakfast), Sirius Pie (great Neapolitan, wood-fired oven pizza, and they have a happy hour), or the Dahlia Lounge (go for lunch, or their happy hour, if you want to hang on to all the money you'll save at The Moore). If you are staying on a Friday or Saturday night, ask for a room that doesn't face 2nd Avenue--the noise from the bar crowd late at night can sometimes be a bit much. The Moore IS less, but it is still the best!

Great place to stay while in Seattle! Nothing fancy, but you can't beat the price, location, & overall great deal in downtown Seattle. Parking is very affordable, & is located close to the hotel. Staying at the Moore Hotel is VERY convenient when wanting to partake in the wonderful downtown Seattle area. Will definitely stay here again!

Great location near center of town. Just a few blocks up from Pike Place Market and walking distance to just about everything. I had a shared bathroom, but never had to wait. Cost was very reasonable and had a great time.
