“Beautiful hotel in a great location!”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

Walking distance to the waterfront, and to pike place, this gem is luxury and convenience all in one! Had a great stay, only issue was that I was billed for internet i never used (they fixed it right away) and that all during the conference i attended we could not access the public wi-fi, other than that the service, music in bar and staff were all great! Will visit again, especially for the great price!

Room Tip: Ask for a King suite- best view ever!

Thank you so much for staying with us and your great review.
We do appreciate your comments about the hotel and I am sorry that you were not able to use the internet in the public areas. This is indeed the first time we hear about the internet not being available and w are looking in to this particular issue.
Again thank you so much and we look fore=ward to see you soon.

Checked in here with hubby for anniversary weekend - our first time to Seattle! Rooms are clean & well appointed. We were supplied with complimentary breakfast as concierge lobby is closed Friday night & Saturday. Check-in was friendly and efficient.

Hotel is conveniently located and we walked most places despite the rain. We did check out the monorail to get to the Space Needle and surrounding area.

Had a quick bite in the restaurant on the 28th floor. - R-View. - service was excellent and the view at night was great!

The only reason I don't rate this hotel as excellent is because 1. No shuttle service from airport means a $50 cab fare with tip. & 2. The staff in the lobby bar was more interested in talking with co-workers instead of interacting with guests.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to serve you on your anniversary weekend.
I do appreciate your nice comments and apologize for the inattentive service in the lobby bar.
There is a shuttle service from the airport to the city hotels, for a fee, in addition to the light rail which is only $2.75 per person and we are a short walk from the light rail station.

Again thank you and I hope you will be back staying with us on your next trip to Seattle.

This hotel is on Madison Street a few blocks from the Pike Mkt and other local attractions. This hotel could use a facelift. The room we stayed in while relatively clean and quiet was a little shop worn. The double beds were a little soft if two people shared. The restaurants are expensive but there are sufficient cafes in the area so that is not a problem. It would be nice if they offered local transport as some other hotels do. If you are in town on business this is probably a logical choice but there are so many others in town so choose wisely for a family vacation.

Room Tip: No pool but nice gym

Stayed for a conference. Twice could not find or was late getting my car from valet that week. Promised a discount that did not come off my bill. Hotel food and room were great and hotel staff were very friendly otherwise.

Ask for room away from highway as traffic noise can keep you awake if your not use to it.

Room Tip: Ask for room away from highway side. much quieter if you do!

Early in March I selected the RSH because they're in the Marriott family without having any previous experience with them. Happy I did, all the good things you should expect of a property like the RSH we experienced. From Check in to Check out every opportunity for an associate to ask if we needed or wanted was done so pleasantly...especially the boys at the door armed with umbrella's for those taking in the sights afoot. The restaurant view from up-top was wonderful but the service and food was better than the view. Didn't use the wireless, didn't watch TV, Club Lounge was excellent, the lobby bar even went out of their way to be pleasant even if it was only for a glass of club soda. We didn't park a car though, we used the light rail from SEATAC, exited Pioneer Square then walked the rest of the way. Easy walk from the RSH to the Market or the Monorail, taxi's were friendly and affordable when we were in a pinch. When we return for business or fun, RSH is the first choice!

Room Tip: We stayed on 24, but from what we saw from our look-around, any room seemed to be a good one...

Stayed at the Renaissance Hotel Seattle for one night to attend a baby shower the next day. The location of this hotel is perfect for walking just a couple blocks right into downtown Seattle. It rained the day we arrived and weren't prepared to walk in the rain, luckily the hotel provided large umbrellas to borrow. We stayed in a 1 bedroom with a city view, spacious (corner room) and clean! Has a nice bar/lounge downstairs for a late night drink and room service came in really handy! This hotel does not fail, would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room, seem to be very spacious.

Reviewed 30 April 2014

I stayed here recently to get some work done without distractions. The room was comfortable, reasonably sized, clean and had a comfortable lounge chair to do hours of work in. Parking was reasonable when you consider it is downtown. The staff I dealt with was helpful and pleasant. One thing that baffled me was charging for wi-fi. They wanted something like $12 to use the internet in the room. When I called down to the front desk, they told me the rates and said if I came down to the main area it is apparently free. I don't understand the discrepancy. Seems like if you are paying to stay in the hotel and use the water, lights etc., wi-fi should be included. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend it. Location is good for Seattle.

Dear Leslie,
Thank you so much for staying with us and your nice comments about our hotel and staff.
Most full service brand hotels charge for the internet because of the additional costs and not everyone that stays in a hotel uses internet. It is more like parking a service that is offered but expensive for the hotel to provide.

I hope you will stay with us again on your next mini vacation in the city.
