“Wonderful stay”
Reviewed 12 December 2013

We had a stop over in Seattle on our way back to Vancouver and Hotel Andra was recommended. We booked a Lux king suite. It was modern and spacious and the bed was heavenly. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Try Lola's for breakfast, Tom's big breakfast was so good!

We stayed at the Hotel Andra for four nights in December, during the cold snap. It was warm and comfortable. The beds were luxurious and we slept well. We love the location because it is close to everything - Pike Place Market, Macy's, and many restaurants. The staff were flawless - very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious. We requested placement away from the elevator because of bad experiences in other hotels, and our request was honoured. The room was a very good size and very comfortable. The only reason for the 4 and not 5 rating is because we had pretty luke warm baths and showers during the first few days. After that the water pressure seemed to improve, with more hot water. Also, I did give the hotel feedback about the coffeemakers, which are small and make only one cup at a time. In such a nice hotel, I believe that should be upgraded. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we visit Seattle. I should note that we have stayed at many hotels in Seattle over the years, and this one was the best. Others have very small rooms. I agree with the reviewer who said to be careful when choosing a room, because they really do honour requests when you book with the Andra.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator, on a higher level, for a more quiet space.

Hint: look at their packages. For our weekend getaway we found a Northern Neighbour pkg which met all our needs with a good rate. Phoned the hotel direct and booked it with ease.

Clean, stylish rooms with a fantastic cozy bed. Amenities were great. Staff made us feel very welcome.

Lola (restaurant) is great too. We had appies and drinks at the lounge. Only hotel I have been at where we lingered in the lobby by the fireplace for a nightcap. It was really special.

We walked to Pike Place, Capitol Hill and mere blocks from Macys and Nordstrom. We didnt even pull our car from valet but hotel does have in/out priveleges.

Tip: Serious Pie is across the street but we didn't make reservations and couldnt get in. Front desk could help or I heard they deliver to the hotel. Will be back to try it for sure.

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Flew to see pearl jam. Another item off the bucket list. We have never been to Seattle. This place was friendly and the service was wonderful. The rooms were nice size. My wife's only complaint was you couldn't turn the shower on without getting wet(woman). It is close to pikes market and the mono rail that will take you to the space needle. I will be back. Great food at Lola next door.

I was on a business trip and stayed for one night. The room assigned to me was an extremely small room in the back corner of the hotel. The view was the alley and a rooftop. The colors were all gray. It literally felt like a cell. I was up-graded for a small fee to another area of the hotel. The amenities were nice and the atmosphere was highly improved. The bathroom was small but very nicely appointed. The room was clean and light. The staff were very professional and helpful.

Room Tip: careful of the back rooms....cell-like

Thank you for begin our guest Margaretcho. It was our pleasure to have you stay with us.

We are delighted to see that you enjoyed your visit and that our friendly service team was able to accommodate your upgrade request. We have four of the cozy studios that you originally reserved, each being newly remodeled. Each studio has all the luxury amenities that you will find through out all of our beautifully appointed guest room, just a size smaller and a lower rate to boot! I'm truly sorry that our new Swedish design and features did not meet your expectations. Our rooms size range from the cozy studio of 200 square feet, up to our Lux Suites, ranging from 500 to 550 feet. We have a room size that fits everyone's expectations.

We understand you would prefer a larger room for your future visits so have made a special notaiton on your reservation profile. This will assist us in accommoating your future requests.

Thank you again for being our guest, we hope to have you visit again soon.

Warmest Regards,
Lars

Nicely appointed contemporary hotel. We paid a small price for an upgrade to a slightly larger King Suite and it was huge. Super comfortable beds, vanity area, nice work area, walk in closet. The restaurant in the hotel was great. Everyone was so friendly.

Great location just a short walk from the Pike Place Market. We were withing walking distance of all downtown locations we were looking to see and short cab rides to some of the suburban areas we wanted to visit. We'll definitely be staying there on our next trip to Seattle.

Hotel was super close to just about everything from Pike Place Market to the Space Needle. The staff was very friendly and the room was unbelievable. The closet was my favorite, the biggest one I have seen in a hotel ever and I have been to quite a bit being on the move in the military. The hotel is a bit pricey so I do not know if I would go back to it, but if you can afford to spend some money, I suggest going here.

Room Tip: I don't know much about the other rooms so I couldn't say.
