From the moment I stepped in the door,I was struck with how "non chain" this hotel is, how personable the staff are, and how comfortable you are made to feel here.

They've done a wonderful job of transforming what once was an apartment building into a collection of rooms and suites that retain the sense of space with design and décor are comfortable and tasteful, As a business traveler who has stayed in just about every "luxury" chain hotel in Seattle, the Andra is in a completely different league, a category of their own making. You have room to move, room to work, and in an overall environment that feels more like you're staying at a friends well-appointed condominium than staying at a hotel.

The attitudes and capabilities of the staff are consistent and helpful, and perhaps because this isn't a big chain, it seems like the staff appreciate the fact they can spend more time connecting with their guests. Very human scale, where you are reminded at many junctures about the care and attention that is being directed to you.

The location is just enough off the beaten track to be productive. Just a couple blocks off the main downtown area, close to Pike Place Market, and on the way, walking-wise, to the rest of Belltown and even lower Queen Anne.

This is very much a hotel cut from the same cloth as the great boutique hotels in Europe, same attention to detail, same warmth and helpfulness from the staff.

My review is based on a one night stay as we came in early for an Alaskan cruise. Overall impression was a clean, modern and stylish hotel. Front desk was very helpful and friendly as were the porters who stored the bags for us as we had come in pretty early. Room was nice and so was the bedding. As others have mentioned the bathroom is small but very usable. My only complaint was that I asked to be near the elevator and not right across from it. Wasn't a big deal but would have liked to have been a little further down the hall just to lessen some of the noise (very slight).

Ate in Lola's......food was wonderful as was the service. Would recommend this restaurant if you are interested in a slightly Mediterranean type food.

If you want to take the Seattle airport transfer that goes to the Warwick.......it is only about 500 -1000 feet from Hotel Andra so if you have wheeled luggage an easy walk. Also, you can catch the Hop on Hop Off bus there so a nice tour of the city. We kind of used it as a bus to get back and forth. Sure there were cheaper options but for us it worked out well.

It was a nice stay and would stay there again since it was near shopping, restaurants, Pikes Market, etc.

Great location in downtown Seattle; friendly, competent staff; well-appointed rooms. Spacious room with wet bar, separate dressing area, charming (if tiny) and well-designed bathroom--overall a departure from the chain-hotel template. The location was perfect--about halfway between the famous fresh market (which we visited--you gotta see it to believe it!) and the high-end stores (which we did not visit!). :-) Also had a great breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. Overall good value for the $$. Slept well on comfy beds, too--very important!

As you are probably well aware, there are plenty of hotels in Seattle Downtown to stay in. This one is very conveniantely located, offers all the services, has spacious rooms and great beds. What attracted me most though is its size - compared to many others in the area small. You feel the personal touch.

The rooms at Hotel Andra were very well appointed and comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was a pleasant stay. The hotel is only a few blocks walk to Pike Place Market and the convention center, making it a great choice for business travelers.
