The hotel is a renovated old building but they should have found a way to update the plumbing and the electrics. Shower starts off hot then the guy in the room upstairs flushes his toilet----water goes cold in my shower. Then it gets warmish. He then takes a shower and mine goes cold. The sink is a pedestal and has a large crack in the front --there is nowhere to put your toiletries, except, that is, for a ridiculous floor stand that is unusable. The floorboards under the carpet in the bedroom are uneven and creak (not good at night). Oh, and when the guy upstairs moves around, it will wake you up. The electric outlets are practically non existent and the heating (a wall blower) is inadequate. These are structural issues that are difficult to fix. When we checked in, the ONLY elevator was not working---the bell staff carried the bags up 5 floors and we also took the stairs. The elevator was working the next morning.
The room was large, the ceilings are high, sheets clean and crisp, the lobby and the decor are really nice. The concierge personnel were amazingly helpful and the gratuity based car shuttle is good because the location (on a hill) is a bit remote. We were in room 517.
