Stay(ing) here with my family over the long memorial day weekend. Great central location for us with 3 small kids. We get to walk to a lot of great stores, pikes place, restaurants. The hotel is very clean and standard for a Westin. I did have a bad experience with "Louise" the concierge that was on duty 5/26 in the evening which is why I'm giving 4 stars. She was just rude and short when asking about restaurant reservations, I almost just walked away from her. I could feel myself getting mad on the inside. The prior night we talked to the older lady with gray hair who was SOOO sweet and helpful.. Made us feel like we were in a small hotel talking to a friend, helping us.. Louise on the other hand perhaps was having a bad day, but this is your job.. Smile- Be Nice - Don't cut people off when talking- and when people don't understand things because it is there first time in Seattle, don't make them feel dumb... Sorry... I'm still in the hotel and I had to write this as I think someone should advise her attitude...

Room Tip: We wished we would have asked for a Bay facing room to see the sunset...

We stayed at The Westin in Seattle, WA (downtown). We stayed there on the recommendation of our friends who were staying there as well at the same time. The standard rooms are clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were professional and our one night stay was great. Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to check out the pool but our friends' kids had a great time. We will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher room - the view is better.

Dirty linens, old furniture and carpets, old creaky elevators, tiny bathrooms - the Westin Seattle does not live up to the Westin/Starwood standards we expect. Upon check-in we arrived to our room with a dirty stains on the comforter...unacceptable. This was remedied quickly and we began touring the city. However, when it was time for bed, we were kept up all night because our room was shaking from the high winds. (Apparently the "9" corridor is suspect to this all the time.) No sleep at a quality hotel is unacceptable and we moved the next morning.

Thank you for your review. We apologize your room was not thoroughly prepared for your arrival and your rest was disrupted due to high winds. As in all high-rise buildings, it is designed to withstand inclement weather and will flex under certain conditions to prevent damage. I am glad to hear you moved rooms the following day to ensure your comfort. Your comment regarding the linens will be shared with our housekeeping leaders so we may improve our service through our retraining efforts. We hope you will give us another opportunity to be of service when your travels bring you back to Seattle. Thank you again for your review.

Westin Seattle has undergone a Reno recently and the hotel is looking fabulous! Excellent downtown Seattle location where having a car is not necessary, you can walk to all the shopping, restaurants, Pike Street Market. This hotel has always been pet- friendly which is wonderful. Our room was spacious and had fantastic water and space needle views. Wonderful bedding, complimentary Starbucks coffee in the morning, fast elevators. The concierge at the hotel is wonderful and will always get you into a restaurant even on a busy Saturday night. We choose to park in the parade which is next door to the hotel and connected via a Skybridge. It is much cheaper than the hotel parade and has more parking options.

Room Tip: The hotels round towers afford you great views. We generally stay in the North Tower.

This is a lovely hotel centrally situated for the Space Needle, EMP museum and Science Centre. The staff are helpful and friendly and the room we had offers great views of the city. Bars, restaurants and shops are all close by. The rooms are large modern and tastefully decorated. The Westin is a top hotel and easy to find being 5 minutes from the highway, just perfect for our needs.

The Westin is in a great location downtown. Within walking distance to Pike's market, the waterfront, aquarium. Great shopping all around. Lots of good restaurant & lounges located nearby. There is a monorail to the space needle across the street. The light rail station is 2 blocks away. We took the light rail to Safeco field for a ball game and it only took 15 minutes. I felt very safe walking in downtown Seattle at all times day or night.

The hotel itself is decent if a little pricey. The rooms have large floor to ceiling windows. The bed is comfortable. There is a coffee maker but be warned the coffee is very strong. There is no fridge but a mini bar instead. Everything in the room was clean and well maintained.

The hotel is definitely geared to the business traveller. Everything is pretty expensive. The hotel lounge serves good strong drinks. The restaurant is a casual gourmet burger type place. There's also a little coffee stand. I didn't use the pool.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Service is good here. Given the location I would stay here again. You won't be disappointed.

It's always nice to be in the middle of everything, the center of attention. The Westin is all that and more. We recently spent three nights here for a conference and had a splendid experience. Staff were sharp and attentive, rooms were updated and comfortable and it is close to all the things you'd care to do in Seattle. This is a BIG hotel so be advised. It does feel a bit formal and stark, so if you're looking for small and cozy, look elsewhere. The Westin does know how to take care of guests and that does feel personal. We had breakfast at Urbane and found the food and service impeccable.
You can walk to at least a dozen great restaurants. The monorail runs right out front and the station is down a couple blocks. That opens up Seattle Center as an activity destination. Waterfromt and Pike St Market are also easy to access. This is a great urban hotel in a captivatingly beautiful city. Come, stay, enjoy.

Room Tip: Get a room above floor 10 on the West side.
