Reviewed 22 December 2013

Takes a lot to get me to write a review, but this did it. Came with a group of 12 people, kids and parents, in 5 rooms total. One of the rooms they gave us came complete with another guest who had neglected to leave.... At restaurant, waited nearly an hour for table, another half hour for glass of water... Attitude from waiter was prompt and fresh, however. Stay away, far away. Four seasons, I'll never stray again...

We've used the Westin for the Seattle marathon for a few years and love it. It is a bit pricey, but you get your money's worth. The rooms are a bit small, but we have no problems with 2 preschoolers. The elevators are fast and location is perfect. The nickle and dime for everything is a very disappointing, what other hotel charges for WiFi these days?

The pool is a great size and the hot tube is pretty large too.

Checkin: terrible. Arrived after a long flight and went to the Gold area - not even water. Requested a quiet room in advance and they ignored the request. Checkin agent insisted Gold members get no upgrades at all.

Checkout: If you pick the Green Choice to get 500 points I hope your points post. They didn't for me even though I want to the front desk and told them I wanted the points instead of the cash certificate. I was told "No Problem"...

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience with us. Your comments regarding the lack of water in the lobby/spg check-in desk will be shared with our team so we may make improvements. Unfortunately, depending on availability we are not always able to offer room upgrades. With regards to the SPG points, it typically takes 7 business days to post. If they still have not posted please email me at ashley.mcfarland@westin.com and I will make sure this is handled as soon as possible. It is our hope you will stay with us again and give us the opportunity to be of service in the future. Thank you again for your review.

I stayed at the Westin 5th Avenue while in town for my good friends wedding. It's exactly to par with the Westin Standard. It's not an Omni or $350/night hotel, but it is extremely clean rooms with full amenities. Everything I come to expect from staying in Westin's on business trips as I do.

The King room was not as big as I would hope, but that's the price of staying in a hotel in the city center. It was definitely not small either, as it had a couch and nice sized bathroom. Because of the circular building, no rooms face each other so if you enjoy keeping the curtains open for the view, you still have privacy. There is a fully stocked mini fridge, and a drug store downstairs across the street.

The view of the space needle is great as I stayed in the 33rd floor with the city view. The hotel staff where 100% accommodating with any requests, and it was a very enjoyable stay for my girlfriend & myself.

I had looked at staying at the W, but this rate fit just a little better and became a great choice. I'm happy I saved a little and stayed there.

Definitely recommend!

Room Tip: High floor with the Space Needle view is great!

The Westin Seattle was clean, and comfortable. Being so centrally located was key in my decision to stay there - and it was truly convenient and in walking distance to everywhere I needed to be. The room was clean and comfortable, however, it did feel as though it might be time for a spruce up of the bathroom, felt slightly dated. The staff was happy and helpful, and I was able to use the fitness center which was also prefect for what I needed - ample machines, clean and neat. I would highly suggest the Westin if you are in need of convenience, a clean and comfortable place to lay your head.

My husband & I had the pleasure of staying at the Westin just before American Thanksgiving. I booked it as a surprise to my husband as a 45th anniversary get away. Camilla & the whole rest of the staff could not have been more gracious. We loved our room & the staff just seemed to be at our beck & call. We did get a chance to use the pool & hot tub & enjoyed them very much. The hotel is in a great location & it is easy to walk to all places. Thanks you so much Westin. We will be back again soon & will recommend to all our friends.

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in Seattle over the Thanksgiving weekend. I had contacted 6 Seattle hotels to see if they could perhaps provide an upgraded room given the occasion. Camilla V of The Westin Seattle was the only reply I received who indicated they would prepare an upgraded room with a nice water view as well as Space Needle. We wish to thank her professionalism, and for organizing this on our behalf. She also answered several questions we had with respect to the hotel. We were in the North tower which also housed the exercise room, pool and hot tub on the 5th floor. Unfortunately, we did not have time to fully enjoy the facilities however, I did check the water temperature which was likely 82-84F which is great for an indoor hotel pool. Concierge Richard was great at providing answers prior to our arrival. Light Rail from the airport was $2.75 and took about 50 minutes including the short 7-8min walk from Westlake Station. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 12:45 due to a late check out however; we were contacted once the room was ready. We did use SPG points. The check-in took about 3 minutes and was so efficient thanks to Amanda who assisted us. The hotel was very busy given on-site registration for a city marathon on Sunday and Monday night football. We enjoyed a couple of burgers on-site at Relish Bistro. Philip provided great service. A bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries greeted us along with a Front Office signed card to our surprise. Other concierge's Judy and Louise were also helpful during our stay. We wish to applaud the hotel management for their "Make a green choice" program were points are offered in lieu of housekeeping service. We asked for fresh towels on our second day and they were promptly delivered to us without hesitation. Nice quality for the record! The lobby is very relaxing and good wifi coverage. The location is great for shopping, eating even renting a car where there are at least three vendors within a 10 min walk. The room was extremely clean as was the bathroom. The blackout curtains were excellent as was the typical Westin heavenly bed. The room ventilation system was one of the quietest units we have ever experienced in any given hotel stay. Taxi service was readily available from the Valet parking area. Unlike some negative comments I read, I can honestly say that none were true in our experience. Again, thanks to Camilla who was responsible for us choosing this hotel (I wish she worked at all SPG properties!) and Amanda for warmly welcoming us upon arrival. We were also able to get a late check-out which was great given we had tickets for Monday night football. We would highly recommend The Westin Seattle for anyone visiting Seattle whether for business or pleasure.

Green Features: "Make a green choice" is a nice alternative to daily housekeeping and the hotel does provide SPG points in lieu of participation. It is a win/win for all parties.
