“Westin Seattle is spectacular”
Reviewed 1 July 2014 via mobile

We traveled w friends to Seattle and stayed at the wonderful westin Seattle. Trevor checked us in promptly upon our arrival (which was early in the day) and we went to the lovely room with an unexpected view of the gorgeous city skyline and the Pacific.

The bathroom was a bonus with its decorative interior and beautiful bathtub ready for soaking, and a large lush Turkish shower head.

We promptly deposited our bags and went downstairs to Relish. Terri was terrific and easily accommodated our traveling party of 9 cheerfully and promptly, with delightful food (truly excellent burgers and sides) and coffee afterward. She also handled our party early the next morning and even remembered our drink preferences from the night before, and happily gave suggestions for local purchases (she is terrific management material odor the westin team for sure!)

We were within a 5 minute walk of Nordstroms, the Westlake shopping center and the monorail, which we took to our stop for the Safeco baseball field to see the Texas rangers play the beloved Seattle home team, the Mariners.

My girlfriend and I took the rail back at 9:30, and felt quite safe walking back the 5 minutes to the hotel.

We were also a 10 minute walk from Pike Place Market and the original Starbucks, so we took them there also, in addition to a walk through the market - so the hotel is remarkably convenient to most locations downtown.

Upon our return to the hotel, on the return portion of our cruise, we stayed on the 33rd floor with a lovely view of the Puget sound - a beautiful vista from our windows.

We accidentally moved a water bottle in the mini bar and Mr. Butter at the front desk smilingly adjusted the accidental charge for us, while the concierge gave us maps and info for the museums and walking directions to the monorail, since both were again only a few blocks away.

The rooms are clean and the views are amazing. The check in/out line was a little brutal, but the staff was very friendly. I liked that we could walk to everything we wanted to see. Having a car would almost be more of a pain than it's worth.

Lovely, helpful staff offered us our room at 10 am, when we arrived from our cruise. They also helped us by locating us in the same tower as the pool. Spacious comfortable room in a great CBD location. It was an easy walk up to the Space Needle Park, to shops & to the Pike Place Market

Room Tip: There are 2 towers, we always ask for whichever tower has the pool, more convenient

From check in to check out this staff were informative, helpful and quite friendly!
We stayed on the 38th floor with views of Puget Sound and Downtown Seattle....absolutely beautiful during the day and spectacular at night!
Heavenly beds are my insurance for a good nights sleep!
Westin is so centrally located to most of the attractions, we walked everywhere....even to Safeco Field!
Seattle has something for everyone!

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the better the view!

We loved everything about our stay at the Westin. Our room and the view were incredible. The bathroom was gorgeous and very clean. We loved the pool with the sun deck and hot tub. The location is the best--near everything you could want in downtown Seattle. The service was great, but parking is expensive. $41 to self-park without a guarantee that you will actually have a spot when you return. Park across the street for $25 a night instead.

We were here for the Rock n Roll Marathon in June 2014, and decided to stay at the Westin as they were a sponsoring hotel, and the location was perfect for the start and finish line. This was a great choice!! The room was bright, large and clean with floor to ceiling windows. Our room was on the 45th floor with a city view. The bed was super comfortable. The only thing missing was a coffee maker for the morning (which we are used to with the other hotels we stay at). The linens were of top notch quality. Location for this hotel was awesome. We could walk to everything.....great restaurants, space needle, pikes place, etc. And, one more thing.....speedy elevators!!! Definitely would recommend this hotel, and would definitely return. We are Diamond members with a competitor, and we are now open to making a switch. Thanks Westin!!!

I know that when a review starts out with "not bad" it means that you didn't expect a lot. And the truth is, I didn't. I know the location is good. It's near the monorail and westlake shopping area. It's close to all the sights. And there is starbucks near by.
As for location -- it's good.

As for price, it's pricey but than all the other hotels are equally pricey(over $330 a night).
The room is a good size.

Our view was of the other tower in the hotel. But nice.

The bed was awesome. You can't beat the heavenly bed. I slept so well so that's 5 to me.
I liked the set up of the room and the bathroom was a good size.
The products are standard -- shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Nothing that stood out.

The hallway looked --- well, old.
In our room, there was an adjoining door and there were 2 obnoxious chips. I don't like it when hotel rooms look "worn". That's just me.

The relish deli is nice. The coffee and chai was good and priced good. Not too bad for a hotel.

The concierge was nice. Check in easy.

So why the 4. I just don't think it's worth the money. There's something lackluster about this property. It's just bland. Nothing stood out.

And this is just a grip in general....the tv channel offerings was average. Which means -- could be better. We had to order "movies" because there was nothing to watch.

Sure we could have gone out to movies but I was here on business and I like having background noise on when I am reading and doing some light work.

The property looks like it could use a little update as I didn't once want to sit in the lobby area. It looks "boring".
