Owner description: For one of the best views of Seattle head to Kerry Park, a small park located on the south side of Queen Anne Hill. A photo from here is Seattle postcard-perfect, featuring ferries crossing Elliott Bay, the city skyline with the Space Needle in the forefront and, if weather conditions are favorable, a view of Mt. Rainier.

We went to Kerry Park on our recent visit to Seattle. The view of downtown Seattle and Mount Rainier was amazing! We chose to get a great view from this perspective instead of spending a lot of money and going up in the Space Needle. This way we have the Space Needle in our photos also. We took the bus from downtown without a problem.

Thank avivaleah

The view once you are up there is fantastic, but don't expect to spend a day (or even an hour) walking around a park, as this is really more of just a scenic lookout. The hour comes into play if you actually walk up the hill to get there! We didn't know what we were getting ourselves into and we walked from the Monorail up Queen Anne Ave to get there. It was a pretty steep walk up, then we spent a few minutes enjoying the view, and then we walked back down. The neighborhood is very nice as well, and this was a fun, free (except for the $2.25/way/person for the monorail from downtown) excursion. Just know what you're getting yourself into if you decide to walk, or find another way to get up there.

Free!! Parking can be hard to find if you go on the weekends. Just a small park overlooking downtown Seattle. Perfect spot to make a quick stop for some awesome pictures!!!

Great little neighborhood park, with an awesome view of Seattle harbor, space needle, and giant wheel. Make sure to drive around and admire the beautiful house and gardens.
Parking is tough so you may have to wait for a space on the street to free up.

The view is like being in the clouds looking down. Absolutely Spectacular. Forget the view from the Space Needle. This is free and better!
