“Very good value!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 May 2014

I would give the Belltown Inn 5 stars because of the overall value of the hotel. It is in a good location for those who want to be in the middle of it all. We walked to everything (Pioneer square, Pike's Place, Space Needle) and didn't need to have a rental car or taxi. Even the light rail from the airport was not too troublesome to navigate. The front desk was helpful and we appreciate them holding our luggage for us on the last day (with no issues). The room amenities were nice too. In addition, the room was well serviced and clean. The only nit-picky things that were not awesome was the "pillow top" mattress that is really just a mattress cover and didn't lend to the type of sleep you'd expect from a pillow-top mattress. Also, the soap and shampoo had a strange smell so I'd recommend bringing your own toiletries. The market just next door was a great place to pick up anything forgotten back home. We did see some street weary locals (homeless??) but never felt unsafe. Just keep your wits about you...it is a big city after all. We didn't use the bicycles because we didn't feel our skills were up to the level needed to navigate the hilly, busy streets, but what a great thing to offer!!! Also, check out the rooftop deck at night and during the day.

I recently spent one night at the Belltown Inn with my daughter and we found it to be a great home base for walking to see the sights. They will even loan you a bicycle! Staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations--you are surrounded by great places to eat! Our room was small, but comfortable and very clean, with refrigerator, sink and microwave. Next time, I will ask for a room that opens onto the inner courtyard as that would be much more quiet; I am not accustomed to city noise and found that a bit bothersome through the open window. The weather was warm and lovely so we chose to open the window for the breeze. Also, the rooftop was awesome--we enjoyed our morning coffee up there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that opens to the inner courtyard rather than the street.

Definitely not familiar with the area, I looked for reviews on Tripadvisor that had great guest reviews. We found the hotel and within seconds of parking we were asked for money 3 times. We checked into the hotel and the staff was friendly. My husband and I proceeded to take our stuff upstairs. There was an incredibly strange odor on the 3rd floor. There was also a strong odor of cleanser. What was to be our room contained a bed that looked like a flattened blow up mattress and two airplane pillows. We were very disenchanted. My husband and I went to move the car to the $15 a day parking lot. Between the hotel and the parking lot we saw people sell drugs and do drugs. My husband said find us another hotel now. Within a few hours, I returned the room keys and the parking pass to a girl at the front desk. We stayed up on University Avenue instead. The next day I received a call stating I needed to return the parking pass or I would be charged an additional $25. Really? I already turned it back in and told her I was checking out the same day. So far I have only been charged the one night rental and the one day $15 parking fee. I hope users will read this before they book this hotel and not get into the same mess.

We'll be coming back here. The location is great! We only stayed overnight while we passed through Seattle. We parked at their lot a half block from the hotel, which was $16/day. There was free wifi with the room. We faced the street and yes it's noisy, but it's downtown, I wouldn't expect anything else. It did not keep us up at night, but if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.

This is a great place to stay in the city! Location is awesome and the staff is so helpful. Reasonably priced and the amenities are free. I have to say it is the best place to stay if you are headed downtown. Clean and super cute. You can get the best bang for your buck here. See Julia at the front desk if you can. GOOD WOMAN!

Stayed 2 nights and this hotel did the trick for a quick weekend getaway. It's not too far from attractions yet not too close to make the price per night shoot up!

We were concerned that it would be a noisy experience due to the busy road this hotel is on. It wasn't one bit! Maybe b/c our room was located near the back? The windows were thick enough to draw out the noise.

The hotel offers free wi-fi throughout and a free lending service of bikes and umbrellas to guests'. We were saved from a rainy weekend with these umbrellas!

Overnight parking is located off-site kinda kitty corner from hotel. A steep $18/night but we didn't mind since we saved so much w/room booking on a discount site. Other than that, there is only metered parking that surrounds the area.

There are local restaurants and business' close by and the famous Pikes Market is a $6.00 cab ride (unless you make the mistake of jumping into a 'flat rate' taxi like we did, which is $10).

Overall, this hotel was very clean, friendly and had an overall good vibe.

This hotel is wonderful. The hotel and rooms are nice. The staff and location are great. Right when we checked in we inquired about a good sushi spot, we were told of the happy hour at Wasabi Sushi (14$ for 3 massive fresh rolls) great! We enjoyed complimentary soda, water, and popcorn included in the room. However, we really desired complimentary internet so that we could get some maps/yelp reviews/and other travel info without using our cellular data. It is strange for a hotel in downtown Seattle to provide internet in the lobby but not in the rooms. Other than that our stay was 100% lovely and I would stay here again for the price and location it really can't be beat. We took the train from the airport to the last stop and walked to this hotel and then walked from this hotel to our ferry to Victoria, so the location was great for saving money on transport as well. It is also quite close to the major attractions, like the pikes place and space needle. Also this is in the heart of Belltown offering lots of pub choices, for a couple in our late 20's we found this to be a great place.

Room Tip: Maybe if you are a bottom floor you could pick up the lobby internet? Not sure but just something I...
