The hotel met the requirements of what I was after - a cheap place to sleep. The room looked outdated and could have done with a bit more attention. Lighting in the bathroom was poor (one of the bulbs was out). Service was ok, the staff were as polite as they needed to be. Location was convenient and easy to find, with plenty of parking.

The staff was "generally" very friendly and the room was clean enough, location was fine and there weren't any issues with road noise. We had requested a non-smoking room and someone had even opened the back window before we arrived to freshen the room. The free breakfast could have been a bit more robust, even pb packets as well as the jam with the toast would have been helpful, the coffee was good, real creamers would have been better than white powder, but I can live with that... The kids (2 teens) apparently managed to get 'pastries', they headed down for breakfast earlier than my husband and I, by the time we got down there those were gone.

Our MAJOR issue was that after leaving the "do not disturb" sign on the door while we were gone and even confirming 'in person' with the housekeeper that we didn't want our room touched, SOMEONE was in our room... we returned at 11:30pm, exhausted from a long day to find that neither of our key cards worked anymore. We had to go down to the office to get them re-keyed, upon entering the room realized that a takeout drink cup with bright pink lipstick on the straw had been left on the table inside the door... No the room wasn't cleaned the garbage not taken out or anything, which was fine as we had asked that it not be, but then WHY was someone in the room??? and why did they leave their garbage behind??? We took the cup down to speak to the person in the office, who said that it must have just been housekeeping eating their lunch in our room... Uh, what??? Doesn't that seem more than a little strange? I also don't believe the key cards not working and the intrusion to be coincidental, the cards were kept separately and we had been in the same place we'd been the previous days with no issues with the cards. We hadn't left any valuables in the room and nothing was missing as far as we could tell but we found it creepy and disturbing. Although I had otherwise felt that the Days Inn would be a place to keep in mind on other trips to Seattle as an inexpensive place to stay, the security issue and lack of follow up with that means I wouldn't stay there again.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed 3 nights and the guy at the desk tells me that since my stay was so long he was giving me the best room they had. The room was good, noise was minimal and the location was prefect for my needs.
