Reviewed 14 January 2014

Great location in Seatlle. Was made to feel welcome and upgraded to a very nice room with a working fireplace. As a Inner Circle guest I received a very nice welcome amenity and this is now one of my favorite Kimpton hotels as well as my go to hotel in Seattle. Bed was very comfortable and didn't hear any noise from outside or from adjoining rooms.

For more than six years, my husband and I used to escape regularly from Juneau, AK, to the Alexis until we moved to the Seattle area about four years ago. Now that we live here, we haven't stayed at the Alexis until a spur-of-the-moment visit this past weekend.

And they continue to delight us! From the moment we pulled up to check in until we waive "good-bye", the staff found ways to give us just a bit more than we expected.

Beautiful rooms with awesome views, wonderful food and wine in the Library Bistro AND from room service. Delightful staff anticipating your every need. What more could we want?

We have always recommended that visitors stay at the Alexis while in Seattle. Our recent visit confirms that this is THE place for our family and visiting business associates. The recommendations will keep on coming.

Room Tip: Fifth and Sixth floor suites have breathtaking views of the Seattle Wheel and Olympic skyline.
See more room tips
Green Features: We like how easy the hotel makes it to recycle newspapers and wine bottles.

We got a great deal on this hotel. Scored the Spa Suite, which was huge and just perfect for our anniversary stay. Somehow we also qualified for free valet parking, which was a great surprise... we can rarely afford such an extravagant trip. I had let the front desk know it was our anniversary, and there was a bottle of champagne and chocolates waiting in our room, with a very nice handwritten note from Adele. The suite was so clean and beautifully decorated. There was a Keurig and Pike Place coffee... Great snack bar... Wonderful leopard-print robes ... Everything one could want. Bed was very comfortable. the jetted tub was amazing. We were in room 439, which was just across from the elevator but so quiet. Service was over the top, from the adorable valet (who was waiting outside my car door less than 10 seconds after I pulled up) to the doormen to the sweet front desk staff, who always welcomed us back from our outdoor adventures (which were short because it rained the entire time!). Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The lobby has a hot chocolate bar, wine reception and cucumber water, my favorite! Our room had a great view of the GreatWheel, which was only a short walk from our room. Definitely sign up for an InTouch membership - saves you the wifi fee.

Needless to say, this is our new favorite getaway. Thank you so much for a great and memorable stay!

The Sap Suite, that's wonderful! We love to spoil our anniversary celebrators, well really any of our guests in general, but I am happy to see that you were taken very well care of. Thank you for sharing your great thoughts on the staff. Our adorable valets are always there to make sure you are well taken care of from check in to check out. You will definitely have to stay with us again and try out some of our other suites. Maybe the next anniversary celebration?! Till next time.

What a terrific group of people. They are attentive, friendly, extremely helpful. Yet, they don't bother or overwhelm with too much. This was a completely enjoyable stay. This is a great location. walking distance to so many places in downtown Seattle, including Pike Place. How fun.

First off I normally never write reviews but we had such an outstanding experience at the Alexis Hotel in Seattle that I felt I needed to. The location was great, close to all the attractions we came to see, Seattle Aquarium, Space Needle, Woodland Park Zoo etc. The room itself was awesome, larger than any two bed double we have ever stayed in. The staff was great, they even had sparkling cider and chocolate strawberries waiting in the room for our daughters 18th birthday. Can't say enough good things about the Alexis Hotel, would definitely stay there again.

I have many clients from out of the country stay at this hotel when they come to visit my company and have heard nothing but compliments about it so my wife and I decided to stay there for a night out downtown. Our go to hotel has always been the Rennaissance, but there isn't much to do around there and we always find ourselves trekking to go anywhere. For our interests it makes better sense to find a place down on First Ave.

The location of the Alexis is great because you are about halfway between Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square, and situated very close to the Seattle Art Museum and Benaroya Hall. You are a 5 minute walk to the ferry that goes to Bainbridge Island, the ferris wheel, the waterfront, and great restaurants. You are especially close to Metropolitan Steakhouse, The Brooklyn, and Elliot's. There are also great espresso choices like Ancient Grounds and Cherry Street nearby. Belltown is even within walking distance.

The staff is very friendly at the Alexis. They were always kind and quick to grab the door when you walk in. Valet is very convenient and they are quick to help you. Everyone is always happy to help you.

Our room was very nice and clean. The bed was VERY comfortable. The suites were all booked up and after seeing my room I was pleasantly surprised with not having a suite available. Very good value for what we paid.

I ate at the Library Bistro and Bookstore bar. Everything we had was very good. They make a delicious Negroni at the Bookstore. The Bistro Salad at Library is really, really delicious. The other dishes I saw going around made me want to come back again. The lamb burger and banh mi had compliments from other people in my group.

We got an excellent rate on our room in early January and thought it one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. The accommodation provided everything we needed in great comfort and the service was friendly and efficient. We loved the early morning free beverages cart and the late afternoon complimentary wine tastings. Like many hotels the in-room refreshments and minibar were really expensive so the complimentary hot drinks and wine were a nice touch. The hotel's in a great location too. Would definitely return and recommend without hesitation.

Sounds like a great stay to me! Glad you were able to relax and have all of the goodies we have to offer. Our hot cocoa bar will be here through to spring time and of course our wine hour is everyday is great too! I know mini bar prices can be high, but if you are a Kimpton In Touch member you get $10 towards the mini bar or now, towards the actual bar in the hotel. It's also pretty great! We hope to see you again soon.
