We took the Amtrak Coast Starlight into Seattle, and so arrived late, due to the train schedule. However, the hotel was pretty close to the station and so was a short taxi ride. We were checked in quickly and efficiently. We moved our own luggage up to our room, and did end up with a bit of a trek to the room, as it was about as far away from the elevator as you can get. This only became an issue when it became clear that the ice machine was not on our floor, but was located equally far away from the elevator on another floor. Our floor had the guest laundry room, which was good to know, even if we never ended up taking advantage of it. The room we reserved was a one-bedroom suite, which had an incredible amount of storage for the four of us - including two big closets and two dressers. This is nice when you really like getting luggage out of the way and having space to unpack. The bedroom featured a king-sized bed and had its own flat screen TV. The living room had a queen sofabed (not made up) and a television, with a kitchenette, separated from the room by a counter that had some seating on it. There was also additional seating that made for a comfortable room. Everything was immaculate.
Since it was late, I called almost immediately to have the bed made up. I ended up having to request service again, as the housekeeper didn't show up the first time. I think they were having some trouble with their phones in general that day. I received an apology, and the housekeeper finally showed up. It turned out that the service was necessary, as the bedding for the sofa was actually missing, and they had to track down the sheets. This sofabed was very comfy and the kids didn't have any complaints about it.
There was a nice buffet breakfast each morning, with hot food and some minor variation in it (bacon or sausage, for example). Waffle makers, plenty of pastries and toasters, cold cereal and oatmeal, scrambled eggs, as well as juices, fruit, and coffee were available. The hotel also kept coffee and tea available all day for guests. Another nice feature of the hotel is a light meal at night. We missed the meal our first night due to our late arrival, but the next night they had a caesar salad and wedding soup, along with rolls. They provide beer & wine if you're inclined, though that cannot be taken to the room. I was given a tray to take the dinner up to the room and was told it was ok to leave outside the room, it would be picked up. It wasn't picked up by the time we left the next morning, so that told me that nobody does that last sweep of the halls.
This hotel has a very nice game room, with a Pacman table, virtual darts, a stand up golf game, and pool table. The pool is located outside, off this room. It's small but more than adequate, and nice. Towels were plentiful.
One of the big draws for this hotel is its location. It is very close to the freeway, and yes, is very near a busy medical center. We did hear some city noise, but we expected that - it's a city. It's also very close to the convention center, the Monorail to City Center (where the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, Science Center, and Glass Museum are) as well as the Westlake station, where you can pick up the CentralLink rail to get just about anywhere you'd want, including the stadiums or Pioneer Square. We really didn't need a car until it was time to leave for our next destination. Conveniently, Budget is located in the same building, so picking up the car was a breeze.
Overall, this was a very nice stay and I would certainly consider staying here again when in Seattle.
