City Hostel Seattle

This hostel is pretty incredible. The dorm is definitely the nicest I have slept in, and the location of the hostel is great. The only (minor) downside was there were only two power points in the 4 Bed dorm I stayed in - first world problems! Other than that it was great.

The hostel was friendly and well located. The staff were very helpful. Good WiFi and breakfast included. We had driven down from Canada and the parking was a bit complicated but easy to find...we ended up parking in the street but there are lots of other options

This hostel is very clean, well organised and efficient. We stayed in a double with shared bathroom, and never had to wait for shower or toilet. Our room was very clean, although occasionally the central heating system got a bit hot (but we just opened the window). Very easy access, both front door and bedroom door with the same key card. Staff friendly, but vigilant. There was opportunity to mingle and get in on the hostel scene, or you can do your own thing. Breakfast is continental, but plentiful and fresh. Great location - no more than 30 minute's walk from Kings Street Station (Amtrack) and about 10 minutes to the Space Needle and Pike Place Market.

We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: South facing rooms are hotter than north facing rooms.

Spent three nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hostel is clean, and the staff knowledgeable and very friendly. It's in a great location, easy to walk to the majority of tourist sights. Also I love the fact that every room has it's own unique artwork, with a story from the local artist. Overall the place has a great vibe, met a bunch of people and had a lot of fun hanging out. Seattle itself, is also a really interesting city with a quirky feel and unusual history.

The City Hostel was a reasonably good place to stay. The location is quite good, the staff were helpful and there was a great guest kitchen which almost resembles a commercial kitchen. My room was clean, the free wifi worked - I can't really complain! The hostel is unique as each room is decorated in a different way. I didn't particularly like the graffiti-style artwork in my room, but as I said each room is different and art is subjective. The only issue I had was that my room was close to the kitchen which meant it was noisy and I could hear people talking into the night.

I stayed in a couple of hostels during my trip to North America (Canada & US) and City Hostel Seattle was one of the better ones.
It was comparable in price to most others, had a decent free breakfast every morning, the cleanliness was better than what one would expect and the staff was really friendly and supportive. The place's international customers meant I was able to make some good friends who were as interested in exploring the city as I was.

Wifi speeds and availability were great, there was no in-house bar so rowdiness and noise were kept to a minimum.
The availability of shared rooms with our own toilet/bathroom (shared 1 between 4) was really nice to have and recommended!

Highly recommended for solo travellers to Seattle!

Room Tip: Rooms with their own toilet/bath are the way to go. Also, bring your own multi-pin plugs as there ma...

Clean, comfortable, friendly staff and reasonably priced. It's at best a few bucks more a night then the cheapest hostel and worth it. Great location, walking distance to the everything. Stayed here twice actually-in May and June of 2013 and highly recommend it to others in the Seattle area.
