Sleek and modern, this hotel is an upscale Hyatt property that provides five star amenities throughout. Beautiful fitness center with indoor pool and spa and locker rooms with sauna, steam and showers. Nice bar/restaurant on main floor as well as a coffee bar with quick to go breakfast items. Loved the fresh apricots in the bowls at check in,as well as the strawberry/cucumber ice water station in the lobby. Service was wonderful and staff very friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable with lovely linens and the best down pillows ever. Location is good, blocks from Pike Place and right around the corner from great shopping.

I am a Hyatt member and we used points to stay at this Hyatt before a recent Alaskan cruise. I was not impressed from beginning to end, though I can attest that the location is excellent for touring. The check in area was always busy, and the 'platinum/diamond' level was never available. The movie system on the television was not working and the front desk said they would comp some room service we ordered - they did not. Almost every nook and cranny of the room was covered in dust, and my son was bathed in allergies the entire time we were in the room. I loved the decor, though there was no privacy lock in the bathroom which can be challenging when traveling with children. I wanted it to be great, and it just was not, though I can see it was for others.

Room Tip: Higher/corner rooms for views - ask them to dust beforehand!

Stayed 3 nights at Hyatt Olive 8, easy early check in at noon, super friendly reception desk, all around onyx decoration, with bright and pleasant modern Hyatt designs all around, onyx marbel on every floor, free internet, friendly staff, clean, good size modern bedroom with bright bathroom, good restaurant with fashionable designs. 1 block to start of hot shopping areas, 1.5 block to convention center, yet quiet nice street without the now-a-days common street beggers in Seattle downtown, 2.5 blocks to lightrail to airport ($2.75 for a fast 43 minutes ride).

Hyatt Olive 8 is far superior Hyatt hotel than the Grand Hyatt across the street, which is dark, old, rude, no staff greet the guests, executive lounge with a tiny 2'x3' food area and leftover poor quality food, and more expensive too. Hyatt Olive 8 is exceptional and excellent.

The Seattle Hyatt Olive 8 was a very nice location for a recent work event. The location is convenient to Pike's Market (seven blocks) and many other attractions. Friendly, helpful staff. In particular, Evan the bellman, Darren in Sales and Cookie in Catering made my even run smoothly. Kevin the concierge was very willing to help with a dinner suggestion for our group. I did find it odd that there was no place to purchase snacks or beverages on site. The desk clerk did recommend a convenience store around the corner and that worked out fine. The hotel restaurant, Urbane, worked out well for the group to have lunch and the catering we had in our meeting room was exactly to our specifications. I did have problems with the in-room internet service the hotel uses. Had to call and be manually connected each night.

Gonna keep this review short & sweet (:

1) Bathrooms are GORGEOUS!!! It was one of the highlights of my trip - seriously. Has a very contemporary & luxurious feel to it. Made me feel like a supastarr ;]

2) Location is very convenient. Easy to get to from the airport (we didn't drive). A couple blocks away from Pikes & in walking distance to many of the restaurants in the area.

3) Our queen-sized bed was very comfortable.

4) Gym is available to guests 24 hours a day. Indoor lap pool closes @ 10pm.

5) Front desk was friendly & helpful.

We had a great stay @ the Hyatt at Olive 8!

We appreciate all of your feedback for the Hyatt at Olive 8. Our rooms are very spacious, including our bathrooms, and are perfect for relaxing while away from home. The gym and pool facility is another great feature of our hotel. The Light Rail train station is a few short blocks from our property and will take guests to and from the airport. This is a more green and affordable option for those traveling in Seattle. Come back and see us soon!

Business conference. Hotel staff were great. Room was spacious (though a bit elongated - still very comfortable). Food served during the conference was very good - much better than I have experienced at other conferences. When packing up our gear, we needed a zip-tie. Hotel electrician broke away from his task, and went to retrieve one for us. Great. Only down-side - wine at the hotel bar was pricey.

Received an upgrade to the presidentail suite. WOW!!!. my room was the same size as my house in san antonio. The Hyatt has always taken good care of me along with the Hilton. This hotel is very innovative, clean and the staff was excellent. It is pretty far away from the airport though. Food at the bar was very good as well. A busniss hotel from the feel of it.. Yes i will return for sure.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us, even though it was just one night. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the suite, and that you were met with the superior customer service that Hyatt prides itself on. Although we are located in downtown, we are a short walking distance to the Light Rail station which takes you right to the Sea-Tac airport (and our stadiums). This a quick and affordable way to get around the city. We hope you will choose the Hyatt at Olive 8 for your next stay in Seattle!
